I have a new CD

I have a new cd. I love it! The people around me think I've lost my mind, because today is September 24th and I am now playing Christmas music!
My mother bought me "A Skaggs Family Christmas" at a second hand shop this weekend. I had mentioned to her that I loved how talented the kids were when I had watched the television program last Christmas.
So when she came upon it, she bought it! It has perked my spirits up tremendously! I love the song called "go Thee Down" which is talking about the shepherds seeing the angel that announces Christ's birth.
Pick it up and take a listen. YOu'll be glad you did...and let me know if you like it!

I LOVE Ricky Skaggs. I can't recall anything by him that I haven't liked. When I was little, one of my favorite songs was "Honey, won't you open that door", and most recently, I like the Ricky Skaggs/Dixie Chicks duet "Walk softly on this heart of mine". I haven't heard the christmas album, but I'm sure I'd enjoy it.

You definately need to get it! His kids are so talented. Of course when you have the musical talent being borne into them having one of the White sisters for a mother and Ricky Skaggs for a dad. What would you expect otherwise?

It could definately be pressure having to live up to the expectations of famous parents.
But do not most of us have that same expectations? I know my children do, having both parents involved in education and also having a father who is a pastor.

I think you'll be pleased. There was one song on there, that I wasn't crazy about. I actually like the story, but the man telling it just doesn't appeal to me.
I guess that's why they created the skip buttons on a CD player right?

It is definately worth the purchase price. Have yourself a merry little christmas is on there, and one of the nieces sings it. Her voice is so pure it's just amazing.

and listen. You have to download their little player but it's worth it.

Some of my favorite songs are Christmas songs. I like to listen
to Christmas music sometimes when its not Christmas. I does lift
my spirits. It sort of brings back some of the warm feelings have during the holidays.

Christmas is my favorite time of year anyway! I run the Christmas store for our younger kids at school to purchase gifts for their parents. I love to see their little faces light up as they choose their special items and have them wrapped by the Seniors.
