Those of you on Gather

have recently gone to the cash option at Gather.com. i wanted some advice from those who had been doing it for awhile. I'd like to know how you like it. Do the gather folks update your gather points earnings every day, or several times or a day? Does anyone know this?
Also, I had someone send me a message that said she had change back to gift cards because the gather powers that be were more stingy with their points if you had the cash option. does anyone know if this is true?
I just wondered. :)

There are some awesome pictures there, that is for sure.
I got one from a friend on gather this morning in my e-mail. It was a beautiful pencil sketch of Christ holding a baby up in his arms above his head. The baby is laughing down and Jesus is looking up with the sweetest smile on his face. I printed it and put it on my wall above my desk at work.

I am still working for the gift cards. I can't manage to get to the 3000 points you need each month to get to the cash out. (I believe that is what you need to make each month to cash in) There are only a few that I know who are doing the cash option. Good luck to you.

Well, I let my points get way up there and then switched to cash. In less than 3 days, they deposited the money into my paypal account. Pretty cool. I just wish I had some idea of how the points were tabulated. It's kind of like here...it's a mystery.

I have been beginning to think that gather may not be worth it all. I have had a philosophy about earning online and the programs that are out there and I have long since concluded that any program that rewards in points then converts them to cash or gift cards is a very low paying program anyway. So I am on gather, not for the points, not for the cash, not for the gift cards or any compensation what-so-ever! I am there because I like to write and share my interests with those who have the same.
Once exception to the points that I have made was MyPoints. I am have redeemed for gift cards through it many times but I have also been a member of it for many years. More than I want to admit. But it is a great site and it is a program that has been copied or others have tried to copy it and nothing is quite as good.
