As a child I can remember I hated to get clothes for Christmas or Birthdays. So I don't do it know with my own son but his grand parents keep asking if i want them to get him clothes on these days. They know i hate this as it makes me feel that they think that we carn't afford his clothes on a normal basis which we can. Am I being silly I'd love to know what you think thanks Zylona

My son has lots of toys (we buy him a lot, he gets presents all the time and my sister brings all her boys toys to my place when they are done playing with them) so my parents ask me if I want money or clothes or something else for his b'day or christmas or whatewer. If he is disapointed he would get over it soon enough (I am sure that everyone else will bring him toys anyway). For his 4th b'day my son only got 2 toys all the others were clothes he was extremly happy with his 2 toys, and now he has so many nice clothes that I would not have been able to buy him (as in all of them).

You could just tell them he doesn't need any clothes right now. :) I know I hated it when I got things like sweet suits for Xmas from my grandparents....
