When I first started my myspace.com page it was lots of fun. It's been a year now and well its just plain boring. Most of the messages are from people you don't know and don't want to know. Out of curiousity how many of you feel the same?

YES!!! i aree 100%!!! i too started mysapce about a year ago.. and it was so exciting decorating your page and setting up new friends, finding old friends etc etc... all those blogs and bullentins and cool graphic commetns.. blah blah blah... now its like oh great i got a message and its a weird comment. or a quick questoin like "how did you do today at the doctors ? and tahts that... and then you dont want to comment back becaus then everyone will see your answer on there page , but you could just pick up the phone call or send and email...plus there are too many phsycos and annoying teenie boppers that just want to have the most friends so they send random add me requests... its ridiclous.. i think i go on myspace once or twice a month now

Yeah, I think it's really boring now. The Bulletin Board is really lame too, if I see one more bulletin about finding out who your real friends are by having them repost the bulletin, I'm going to delete that person as my friend. Also, instead of cultivating friendships with real people and actually keeping in touch with friends who've moved to another city, we just send some random note or comment and a connection is never truly made. The spamming is out of control as well.

I am extremely bored with MySpace, especially since sites like MyLot, Gather and Yuwie pay for content. Why would I want to soend time on a website when I can be on hee making money? I like MyLot because I have fun at the moment, and the money helps me in the long run.

I think they are not being competitive in the market they created and not doing much in the area of R&D to vitalize their community and bring in new ideas to keep everyones interest. A website/business is like a car if you just let it sit it will eventually rust and rot but if you wash a wax it every now and then it will shine like new.
