Research shows that there is a correlation between lack of sleep and heart disease. Do you sleep long enough? or do you always lack sleep?

I have seen people sleeping for 10 to 12 hours (people above 20 years). It is understandable that children below 10 years do sleep for 10 to 12 hours a day, but beyond 15 years one requires only 8 hours for normal health. It is better to maintain that 8 hours sleep per day. The more one embraces the bed, the more the health problem one invites.

Hi errielle,
I work with a cardiologist abd can tell you definitely that there is a correlation between sleeping and heart disease. When we sleep we recharged out inner batteries. More critically, we get rid of the free radicals, which are harmful for our bodies, through sleepin well. So, it's very important to maintain aur biological clock and sleep at more or less specific time and for specific hours. Sleep well and the duration depends on the health of the individual.
Good luck!

I sleep late sometimes and sometimes I sleep like four or only five hours a day. indeed sleep is a necessary activity for us.
It refreshes us to do things the following day. sleep is necessary for our body.
how many hours do you sleep too? it is always recommended to sleep at least eight hours a day but with lots of things to do this is not always met.
I sleep like eleven or twelve midnight then I wake up ususally by seven in the morning. if I sleep at eleven then I could have eight hours of sleep. but I spend much time in the computer so I sleep like one or two in the morning then wake up around seven still.

Really? Thanks for the info.. me, I don't sleep long enough. My sleep hours would only take about 4 or 5 as the maximum. So do you think it's ok for my age? I am turning 25:-)

I usually make it 6-7hrs a day of sleep. Anything less would make me sober and depressed. But on weekends when there's no work the next day. i sleep at 3am ...

Six hours of sleep is quite fine. I think that will give our body enough rest. We sleep because we want to put our body to rest and get enough energy for the next day. if we don't sleep and get overworked or get too tired, then we don't have enough energy for ourselves. Thanks for the reply@

hello there. I sleep about 6-8 hours a day. However, I think that is not enough. I think I need about 8-10 hours a day to feel energetic. 6 or less hours a sleep a day makes me feel lethargic. I can sleep as long as 12 hours and I love sleeping. =D

Its random. The average is 6 hours. Other times its been as long as 8 to 11 hours. Then there are times I sleep only 4, 3 or 2 hours, or not at all.
