do names affect the life of their bearers?

i've watched a debate on what name should be given the child. usually for some people the child is named according to the occasion it's born to by the traditional people. some too according to the days of the week and so on. one person who has been named "in literally "you've got so many problems" and believe it or not, the child grew up and his parents never had peace in that community. whenever the child went out he goes back with someone to complain to his parents the crimes he's committed. beating other children, stealing and destroying people's properties, he was like a terrorist in that community. would you agree that it's the name that is affecting his life? what're your views on naming children?

I think that the name given to someone sometimes does have the influence to a person's behaviour though not always. Maybe I am a little superstitious about this. I believe the story narrated here because it is quite possible to have this happen in life.
