What motivates you to earn more money?

What is the driving force behind your desire to make extra money online? Do you do it as your only means of income? Are you trying to save up for a vacation or just trying to make some extra cash for the holidays? For me right now it's a primary income and what really motivates me to do it is everyday need as well as big dreams and the desire for success doing something everyone else said was stupid.

I have some bills and making a little extra cash on money making websites helps out, even if it doesn't help pay the bills, it gives me a little extra cash for groceries and things like that.

My drive is to make enough money to pay at least for 1 day of holiday (this is for a whole year worth of posting) If I can make $150 a year I will be happy to be honest. That should be enough for 1 day accomodation for next year holiday in a cabin. this in not a job so I dont expect great money from it.

My motivation is my kids. They are all involved in many activities so I have alot of extra expenses. Any money that doesn't go for them doing sports I save so we can go on vacation every year. I should be saving for the holidays right now too. I guess it is a combination of everything.

Those are great motivations. It's crazy how much things cost for schools now makes public schools feel like you're paying for private.

That is so true about school costs. Just last night I wrote out 4 checks for $10 each. Three were for sports pictures and one for the book fair. Next will come the school pictures! It's tough to get ahead with all these extras that come up.

I know it's insane, I remember my old roommate's daughter when they were here and she was in school, it was so expensive. Even the lunches were a bit much!

Well since I get only a small SSI Disability benefit check, what motivates me to earn more money, is just to HAVE more money to live on--of course, I want to earn money big-time and maybe get a real steady income and get off of SSI...but I would have to make sure it was a consistent income and not just random peaks and lows...that is why I eventually want to have my own on-line photo business and sell directly to clients that want my work--seems like it's taking forever just to build the basics of my business...Hehehe..do plan to do another vision board soon--I have the perfect space right alongside my computer desk on the wall that would be perfect...I have a nice stack of magazines, ready for me to pour through and cut images out--Really, you're only income now is through on-line things..wow...you must live in front of your computer almost as much as I do...LOL

My real big goal is to establish MY OWN on-line photo business..I do have two photo websites but I would like to get a more pro looking one that will also accept monetary transactions, and there is this one photo host website but it cost about $250 a year..not really bad but I would have to make sure I had it! The money that is. I avoid the micro stock photo agency websites like the plague...people think they are going to mak oodles of money as the premise is that every time someone "hits" and downloads your photo you're paid...uh, right...The "client" can download the photo for a mere buck or two, and use it unlimited times without any further compensation to you...what does the photographer get...25-cents--I don't think so, not considering in my "heyday" of selling work I could earn $100 per photo. I do upload some photos for requests at Photographer's Direct which is a more pro photography site and pay better..but so far my photos haven't sold... :(

Yeah my computer is sick of seeing my face already! Right now working online is the only way I make any money at all. The last job I had denied me unemployment even thought it was 100% their fault and technically they let me go but they said I quit... which is true in part. I had put in my notice two months early as I was leaving town and then a month later changed my mind and when I told them they said but isn't your last day this Friday. I said, no the end of next month. Well they got the date wrong and hired someone else who had in turn quit her job so they said they had to keep her, later I found it she was the best friend of a girl there and even though she spoke no Spanish (it was a bilingual position) she got $3 more an hour than I did... which was why I was moving, the pay and they had said it was against the corporate rules to pay more for that position. So they screwed me twice. Which really is a big motivator, I don't want to work my a$$ off for someone else who will just exploit me and then discard me later. Have you tried selling your photography on various sites? My cousin is a photographer and she does that and makes good money as well as in her studio.

Good discussion! I would say that it all started out as curiosity and my hobby (all beauty stuff). Then I got more information here and there and I shared with my buddies. We all don't want to waste life just by working for others and therefore we start investigate more and more on the online money making opportunities. I think the main motivation for me now would be to at least earn something during my unemployment. But I do hope that everything would be in place and I could earn a steady amount every month and live nicely with it!

I started pretty much the same way, with a curiosity about it. Not wanting to waste time working for someone else is a big motivator and what motivates me most of the time!

hello, gmakesmoney. I am still a student. I get main money from my parents, and I feel ashamed about it. So I do some part-time jobs in my spare time. Earning money online is new for me and I just started it several days ago. I have not thought about how to use the money. I am very busy now and haven't got much time in making money online. I just spend one hour or more on it and with the purpose of improving my English too. I believe that many a little makes a mickle. So I will stick on.

For me, making money online is extra income, although I'd like to be able to do this full time. We need the money right now: we're trying to pay down some debt.

Like you, I'm on the net trying to make a few pennies because I want to build up my pay-pal account without actually having to put in any money from my real day-time jobs. However, since I've started on mylott and the few other PTP sites I've joined, I seem to find myself spending lots and lots of time on the net. But then again, since I already spend so much time infront of a comuter, I guess bashing things out here won't do me any harm and collecting a few pennies extra won't kill me too.

I do online programs because I want to earn extra income to augment our daily needs. My husband is earning good. But because of the high costs of living here in our country, it is not sdufficient enough to make us survive. So I am making another way of earning.

Human has 5 basic needs. 1. food 2. accommodation 3. dressing 4. air 5. water This is the 5 things that will motivate us to earn more money to fulfill our basic need in our life. In this modern technology era, human tend to want more and need more. In fact most of the thing is unnecessary. The more desire you have the more money you need to meet your desire. So this is the only thing that motivate human to earn more money.

I have been a single parent for the past 19 years. Both of my daughters are grown now with children of their own. But I still have bills from trying to support them by myself. I would love to be able to pay everything off, buy my first house (I'm so tired of apartment living!) And have extra money to help my daughters and parents out when they need it.
