youi might be remembering about the statement given by shob malik"i want to convey sorry for all the muslim from all over the world and from pakistan that we could win this twenty20 for pakistan and muslims?.but question arises:was this sorry only for pakistan or only for the muslim populace countries?was this world cup based on the religion;india being a hindu countryengland a christian country?or any damn country? do not you feel that it was a sort of immtured kind of statement given by thoses so called muslim players from pakistan?

Yes bro, even I got amazed by this statement of Malik,he shouldn't hav made this kind of statement when the entire world waz wacthing him.His statement in a sense meant that he waz only & only thankful for the pakistani people who cheered his team up,then what about the other fans frm other parts who though waz not pakistani but waz praying the god for them to win,he has shown no of sportsmen spirit & hav broken thousands of heart by his statement.India won the worldcup and he must accept their hardwork rather than feel sorry for the whole pakistan.

this is exactly the statement which made me feel wondered when i listened to the experience of the captain of pakistan.i think the captain should clarify one thing over here. is it that pakistan's cricket team is the representative of all the muslims in the world. sports are supposed to be the places of entertainment with lots of sporting spirit . I think people in sports should represent the nation not a particular group of people in the society.

hi frnd dont jump into arguments , he didn't mean that . he knew that some crazy muslims around the world support their tem , he might have said sorry to them , the wellwishers of his team . and morever he is not good in english , so some mistakes can happen , don't blame him. I said the above one bcoz I have a frnd who supports only muslim [ since he is also a muslim ]countries during FIFA world cup .

You are absolutely right in voicing that,I was aghast too right after malik's statement cuz it definately eas not in good taste and created the impression that even indian muslims were supporting pakistan.Being a proud muslim myself,I cannot help but lament sadly on his 'immature' 'crude' statement that sport knows no religion or caste or race, its a global entity every nation enjoys and particularly in a cricket crazy nation like india, cricket holds our national fabric to some extent. He should guard his tongue next time and think twice first. I am of Indian origin too and I SUPPORT INDIA,CHAK DE INDIA!! Enjoyed the final, there's a poll and an article at: www.metalrex-serendipity.blogspot.com Do vote and comment.. Cheers!
