Why does bad luck always happen in threes?

I've noticed that my bad luck always gets tripled. I'm not sure why. Does this ever happen to anyone else? For instance, one morning I might wake up to find that my car doesn't work and wouldn't you know it, later that afternoon, my spouse will find out that he has lost his job. And, just when you think it couldn't get any worse, someone in the house gets a cold and then everyone catches it.
Then again, most of my blessings come in threes as well. Not sure what magical (or unlucky) quality that the number three holds in my life, but it does seem to be very significant.
Does that happen in your life? Do you find that you get a lot of bad luck all in the same day or same week? Do you think it's all coincidence? Is there some kind of cosmic bad luck quota that everyone is assigned and you have to go through it whether it happens all at once or a little bit every day? What do you think?

It does come in 3’s- I hate when bad things happen—you are almost waiting for the other 2 to happen- I wonder if we are willing them to happen –to get them out of the way! So we don’t have to worry anymore?
I never noticed that good things in happen in 3’s.

Beauty, my beliefs lead me to think in the power of three, so yes, not only bad things but good, come in threes. If you're very unlucky, they will come in three by threes, i.e. nines, but that is less occasional. I don't normally count but I do realise when things happen in threes. For instance, a couple of years ago, I will swear that a friend of mine did something he shouldn't have, and the curse came back to me, being the closest to him. Starting Samhain (or Halloween, according to your beliefs) I suffered a curse that caused three occasions of fire in my kitchen. Localised? Yes. A curse... yes, I believe so. I cast a protection spell and since then have had no bothers. My amulet goes with me wherever I go and is under my pillow at night because I know, this is not coincidence.

It happens in our culture too and I don't know why. If one relative passes away then two more usually follow.

OMG~ I was just thinking this on Sunday! Bad things always happen in 3's. It might be all in one day, or month ,or even year, but it doesn come in 3's.
Jus this past week my son was accused of harrassment, my neice ended up in the hospital the next day, and my washing machine broke the following day!

I have noticed that too a lot. also I have noticed that most times people die in 3 eg. versache, diana, mother teresa. My uncle, my neighbour and my grand mother. My sisters car broke down, than her fridge than her water heater. things keep coming in 3 for some reason.

I didn't notice it happen to me in threes. But there are really times that I experience bad luck the whole and vice versa. I just always try to adjust with this kind of circumstances in life.

I don't know about quota but it seems that everyone has their turn for huge bad luck. It seems that small bad luck happens more often to everyone, and we call it "it's just not my luck" or "s**t happens". But then the real bad luck happens and after we overcome it, we change. these will be the times I swear a lot, and they can come in any number, you're lucky 3 is the most.

i think it comes down to your mind set your having a bad day something dosn't go right then you let negativity in and this is where you allow more bad things to happen, so i do believe in saying that it can work the opposite way, when people say they are really lucky at the moment, just means they are thinking & acting in a positive way and good things come to them

You are quite right. I found this phenomene years ago. It just as god decided for us earlier. Something will not go to the effort that was required. It is natural formular. Therefore, we can't change it.

Such cases of bad luck or good luck are not magical, nor coincidance. Everything in the world is goes as per individual's stars,depends to some extent on the good or bad works done by them during the lifetime of the person. No one is assigned any back luck qouta-it is a earned by a person -based on their actionsrse of life.

I have also experienced the same bad luck in a short period of time. This is just what we say here in China:"It never rains but pours." So my dear beauty queen, it is ok after three times of bad luck. It is always rainbow after a shower.
