The only other series I have ever read was the Princess Diaries which there are a lot of small chapter books sorta.. They arent in chapter form. But I love them.. My cousin is now reading them.. But that is my only series book I have read. Very interested in the other recomendations!!!

Have a look at the lemony snicket series, they are not similar to harry potter in terms of plot or characters. They were intended for children, but are pretty funny! On top of that they are a nice easy read.

I'd recommend the Icewind Dale Books... If you're interested in fantasy adventure types of books that is...or the Dragonlance books, and also books in the Forgotten Realms setting...

I read the whole serie of A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket... they don't exactly have the same plot but they are both entertaining in their own way... i love A Series of Unfortunate Events because the characters are very interesting and the story has this unnatural twist... It is so different from all the other books that have and read...

Philip Pullman has a trilogy called His Dark Materials. The books are The Golden Compas, The Suble Knife and The Amber Spyglass. They are an incredible read and if you like Harry Potter you will like them. Also the Charlie Bone books are very similar to Harry Potter and also very good reads.

Hmmmm... I would recommend PAULO COELHO's books... try reading the Alchemist first... it's quite different though from HP but it's a good one... looking for one's personal legend
