Ive noticed something in this forum.
Many times a topic opener doesnt reply back in their own topics after having posted it.
They dont rank and they probably dont even look into it.
Is this because they are just making topics they dont really care for?
Just boostin some numbers?
Im not an avid topic opener, but I do know that I come back and read and rate everything posted, and reply to all I feel a need to reply to or comment at.
Its the least I can do for opening a topic, especially when asking a question or starting a discussion.
Have any one else noticed this?
Or is it just me that feel like many ppl arent replying to their own questions/answer or rate ppl?
Do they even bother to note who made the best reply and use the option to note it as such?
This I find a very great tool, especially since so many questions gets asked, then why not rate the ppl making an effort, and granting the post that inspired you or answered you the pleasure of being the best post?

Yes, that's what I've observed for the past couple of months now. My view into these are, if ever they don't commented on two of my responses on their posts, then it's better to ignore them and boycott their posts. I believe that most of them are indeed out for the money and not to create a healthy and informative discussion, I only feel pity to all of them. Such a shame, too desperate to earn a few cent..
I was thinking about this particular suggestion for quite a long time now, but I doubt if this idea is allowed. I'd like to post a topic about those who starts discussions but never responds, to post their name so other's will also be awre of!LoL But we all know, this is against this sites guidelines!;)

I guess a naming and flaming topic isnt really wanted or needed.
Too much drama happens in such things.
I was more trying to stur ppl into paying attention to why they are here, and maybe alter their actions :D
But yeah, sometimes I see a poster that has opened many topics with no replies, and usually I think I will just start to pass them by if it doesnt change, and stick with those that buils the community :D

What if there is no really good reply? I have a few discussion where I would find it hard to select best response. Sometimes more responses qualify as good sometimes none are good and sometime you only have received one answer to a post.

I still rate it, if there is only one, and if its offtopic..
Its still the best when its the only one :D
And I dont mind too much if there are several good ones, either one is better off with getting the tick for being a good post ;)
And even if the answer reply is a bad one, I certainly intend to reply. I dont have to like them all, to be able to share my opinion or say thanks for replying at least.

yes I have noticed this as well, I always feel if people take the time to reply to a discussion of mine I am going to take the time to respond to them and rate them, I even try to answer a discussion or two of theres

I am usually too busy writing to notice. When I first go on myLot, I usually take one of the discussions I started and comment on all those who respond, and if there have not been many replies, I can do another one. But I want to get right in and respond to the other posts. I also find it hard to give best responses, there has been times when I gave one and then found a few hours or a day or two later, a much better one. So this is how things stand with me.

bunsdk I do not ordinarily go back the very dayI post something
as I am usually rather busy and I think that a lot of people who
post discussions are busy too so we may take a day or two or three to get back to our discussions but we always do get back
to them. We do have to share our time here with other things in our lives too.
