In my opinion this doesn't come from yahoo They are asking for too many details : " "Dear Account User, This message is from Yahoo! message center to all Yahoo! free account owners and premium account owners. We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account center. We are deleting all unused Yahoo! account to create more space for new accounts. To prevent your account from closing you will have to update it below so that we will know that it's a present used account. Confirm Your Account Details Yahoo! ID:......................... Password:........................ Your Birthday:................. Your Country or Territory:........... Enter the letter from the Security Image :......... Warning!!! Account owner that refuses to update his or her account before two weeks of receiving this warning will lose his or her account permanently "" I think yahoo says somewhere that they would NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD So if you receive this message , be very careful I think it 's a scam and they want to steal your info What do you think ??

Yahoo does indeed not ever ask for passwords. Passwords are the single and only option to secure YOUR items and mails. Yahoo arent allowed, and dont ahve an interest in being inside your mail adress. What they need to know they got to know when you recieved the mail, they dont need to know whats in it. I dont even think yahoo would ever send you an email before you requested it, as commercial or if they know one of you alternative adresses they might send you a notice that you havent been using your yahoo account and that they are closing it (pretty unlikely in my experience though) They never ever request any information from you like that.

I have a Yahoo free acount and didn't recieve the message, so I'd say it's a scam. Other reasons wjy I believe it to be a scam is they would give you far longer than two weeks notice, and if something like this were introduced they would lose millions of customners to the opposition. Not likely! Don't panic ricknkae.

Agreed, most sites never ask for your password so this is a scam. Report them to abuse@yahoo.com
