Having pets are also good for us to have a healthy lifestyle. If there is a pet, we became happy and we forgot our problems for the time being. If I am sad and depressed, I usually play with my cat, and in that manner, my sadness turned into joy and happiness. Have a nice day and God speed!

I think they are if you discount the obvious hazards (allergens, dangerous pets). I forget from time to time to recommend people spend time close to the pet whenever they are feeling ill or down. Thanks Mepi, I needed the reminder.

Yes they are.Alot of people(a special worker)brings a cat or dog to an old age homw for the people there and they just love this. You can see their eyes light up as soon as they see it coming. They stroke its fur and talk to it like it was theirs and sort of come of of their shell that they usually are in.I find when i pet and stroke my cats or dog it changes my mood from grumpiness or sad to happy, content and relaxed more.I just love my pets, they help pull you out of certain feelings in life that you may be experiencing, only to make it better and show you a love from them,an animals love.I totally agree with animals being very good for someones health.:)

Pets are great for a person's health, but only ify ou want them. A pet lover will have a wonderful time playing and interacting with their pet while someone who doesnt like pets might get a little stressed by them. So I guess the right answer is yes, a pet CAN be great for a person's health.
