Do you make lists?

I am constantly making to-do list, well lists on any subject and area really. I'll make a to-do list for the month then one for the week and one for the day and then break those down into B for Business or P for Personal. I have a premade grocery check list that I print out and it has spaces to check stuff off, spaces to check if I have a coupon for that item and it's organized in little boxes by aisle and food group. I have similar lists for packing, projects and during the holidays for recipes so I can be sure to get everything done. I don't always stick to all my lists but they give me a sense of control. So do you make lists? What kind? Do you stick to them?

Yes I make lists all the time especially now when I have a tons of ideas and things to remember. They would help me to organize a little bit and things would seem to be under control. I usually write down my items or things I need to complete within that day or week and I will stick to them and force myself to finish according to my own schedule.

Yes and the thing is we always want to do so much all the time and it would be really better to write down everything and schedule them one by one!

I do that same thing, it really does help one keep everything under control and helps me stick to a schedule instead of wasting time while I figure out what to do next.

You're scaring me... I thought my before-I-go-to-bed, things-to-do-tomorrow list was the acme of organization! Bother!

LOL, I do that too! I swear I'm like OCD when it comes to lists, they give me a sense of control and calm when things get chaotic or overwhelming. I go through notebooks like water with all my lists and sublists, lol.

I don't make lists for grocery shopping as I pretty much remember what I need to get...for more important things though, then I'm a neurotic list maker...LOL...I have one book, that I list the things I want to accomplish for, for the whole month, then I have another book, that I have things broken down weekly, then yet another for what I want to do each day...I do pretty much stick to it and feel really great about it, but of course, things do crop up, or some projects may take longer than expected...and I sure wish there were 60 hours in a day!!! I have found though by having some kind of lists of things to accomplish, one actually does them then..just to THINK about them doesn't do the trick..at least not for me.

I love that feeling when you can cross something off your list, makes you feel so accomplished. I have to have a grocery list or I'll go in for bread and come out with everything but that, lol.

i find that i make mental lists of things that i need to do, but if its very important and i don't want to forget it, to make sure i remember i will right it down, or send myself an email, because there are those days that u just have too much to do and no time to do it and its very easy to forget what u need or want to do.

Yes, I make lists. Been doing that since high school. Now I do it to keep my daily life as *smooth* as possible. I make lists of people I need to email, call, go visit. Then of course you have a grocery list, then the ever popular *to do list*. I do try and stick with them, but sometimes I mess up. I love the *vacation* list! Even though I make this list like a month before vacation, I still manage to forget something, never fails. Lists are great, helps to keep you organized but I think I need a list for my lists:)

Yes! I always make different lists because I'm a forgetful person, so I have to make a list. I make a list for grocery and for shopping so I can arrange the things that I needed to buy first. I also make a list for my expenses so I can budget my money. Making a list is really useful especially when you are a busy person so you can put those things in order in your mind.. hehe

I am a big list maker too! From basic to-do lists (for myself and honey-do's for DH), to grocery lists, to check lists I love them all. I don't always get eveything done, but it does help me to feel a little more on top of things.

I only take down those important things that I really have to do, to buy or be reminded of. Other minor things, i just memorize it. I am very particular with urgent or important things.

I make lists alot. I don't always stick to them though and sometimes I even loose them. I think they help me figure out what I need to do vs what I want to do. I usually do it on the weekends so I make sure I get everything I need to done. Also I have a online business so I make a list of what people bought and what I need to make VS what I already have. So I can get things out as fast as possible. I like to think of myself as organized but I find myself slacking off for a few months and then I get back to being organized.

I like to make lists of the things I have to do. I usually do some of the things on the list, but not all of them.

Yes i seem to make to do lists quite often because it helps me keep track of what i want to do in a day. otherwise i tend to forget about half of the things tthat i was going to do. i think it is a good idea to make a list so you dont get sidetracked and on to something else even if you dont get it all done in one day. i usually make too many projects for one day and never always get them done

I tried making a "to do list" when I got my first job but after the excitment went down, i stoped making. Now the only list i make is grocery shopping list, i even go with a calculator to be exact and I stick to the budgeted amount. I even end up going home with some change. When it comes to money - am very strict and i make sure i dont go shopping in an empty stomach.
