My son came home from school today with a bruise on the back of his neck and on the front of his shoulder. He said a kid in his class grabbed him around the neck and knocked him on the ground during gym class. He said he told coach and the boy didn't even get into trouble. NO NOTE WAS SENT HOME ABOUT THE INCIDENT! I talked to the principal about it, and she is going to talk to the boy and his mother about it, AND the gym teacher. The boy already has gotten in trouble for other things this year and is currently working on a 10 day sentence to detention. I swear my kid has more trouble at school than I could have ever anticipated.

Oh god! Poor baby! I don't have children or anything 'cause i'm still 18, but i have younger siblings and they are the world to me and for something like that to happen to them would have me seething to tell you the truth. Good luck with this and It is so wrong that the principal didn't even call you about this. What grade is your son in? I mean what kind of a school is that? They don't even take responsibility and call or have someone else inform you about what happened.

Okay that is even worse because the other teacher should have been told the principal. That is awful. Schools are getting worse by the day to tell you the truth especially the one that my younger siblings are in right now.

That is horrible! I think you did the right thing. How old is your son? If he's still in grade school, then that other kid needs to be in special classes to help him learn to control himself.

Sorry about your son :/ He should stay away from those bullies. You should aim for an expulsion for that kid who did that. Hitting should automatically be expulsion, and if not atleast a 15 day suspension, right?
