Hello fellow BTTF fans! I've officially watched the trilogy forty-eight times. (Yes, I have no life!) Tonight, I'm starting another one of my "BTTF Marathons", as I call them. I don't know what it is about the trilogy, but every once in a blue moon, I get the urge to just sit down and watch all three movies in a row. I absolutely love all the eighties flicks, but BTTF is, by far, my favorite! The writing is excellent, and I always end up noticing something that I never noticed before each time I watch... like the last time (a month ago) I watched all three again, and I noticed for the first time that the girl who played Jennifer in II and III is not the same one who played her in the first movie. I don't know why I never noticed that before, but it could be because her character didn't have a big part in the first movie, she was wearing the same clothing in all three... and the writers and directors probably didn't want people to notice. (Also, I didn't read the credits every time I watched, and probably didn't notice the actresses' name was different! Anyone else out there never notice it was a different actress? Also, has anyone else beat me on the 48 times? It will be 49 as of tonight! How many times have you seen the trilogy?

I don't watch them as a set but I've seen them individually maybe like 4 times. My sister is a big Star Wars fan and when the movie first came out saw it like over 10 times - while still in the theatre. I love eightees movies too! It took a minute to figure out what BTTF stood for as I found this discussion on your page and there is no reference to what category this is in on the discussion page. I loved Some Kind of Wonderful the best but there are many other runners up. Was Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeves from the eightees - have you heard of it? Its another time travel type movie starring Reeves and Jane Seymour.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan too. I've got the three originals on VHS and my kids are even more into it now than I was when I was their age! They know everything about all of the characters and even go to Lucasarts.com to find out about other characters and plots that were never seen in any of the movies (like Han Solo and Princess Leia's son Jason Solo, etc.) I probably should have written out Back To The Future, but I figured the buffs would know what I meant. I'll keep in mind in the future that others will want to post replies. Thanks for that tip. I've never heard of Somewhere in Time but I'll look for it now that you've brought it up. I'll let you know if I find it and if it's from the 80's. Thanks for your post!

Yeah, this is truly a great trilogy of movies. After seeingyour post I rewatched 1 and 2 over the past couple nights and I started on three last night. I find that three is my least favorite. I did notice that the actress for Jennifer changed the very first time as I was already an Elizabeth Shue fan. In fact, back in the 90's when I used to use AOL, Elizabeth Shue did an on-line chat I was in and I was going to ask her if she was nervouse taking over for another actress in that role, but the chat session time ran out before I got to ask. I have no idea how many times I've seen the movies, it has got to be over 20, 15 and 10 respectively. One thing I just noticed two or three viewings ago was the clock in the opening on part I that had Doc hanging off the hand foreshadowing the finale. I like Bob Zemeckis' work in general and I'm definitely a Spielburg fan, too. It's really too bad that MJ Fox has suffered as much as he has with MS. He really is a trooper though.

I didn't catch the clock with Doc hanging... now I'm going to have to watch it again, lol! I agree about MJ Fox... he has always been one of my fav actors... ever since Family Ties. Sometimes seeing him now makes me sad because his illness has changed him quite a bit. He really is a trooper though. Have you ever read his book? I forget the title right now, but I listened to it on audio (he reads it) and it is really amazing how he takes us on his own life journey. He's been thru a lot. Thanks for your post! (I'll be watching BBTF I again tonite!!!)

Well, I watched all of the BTTF movies since they came out on TV, unfortunately I didn't get to see any of them at the cinema as I couldn't afford it at the time. I now have the full 'special edition' trilogy, I watch it almost every single time any are on TV and I've watched the DVDs several times too, I've lost count of how many times I've watched them, at a guess I'd say definately over 30 times, probably more actually. I'm a MJF fan too, he's so cute and lovely, even now! I think I might watch all three again tomorrow, can't watch tonight at 'Heroes' is on.

I don't know how many times I've seen it but it has been a bunch. I really like it too. I'm a michael j fox fan. My parents had taped all 3 movies so I've seen it a bunch. Plus any time its on tv I end up watching it again. I've never counted so its hard to say exactly how many times I've watched it. I never noticed it was a different Jennifer either. But I've done that with a lot of movies, each time I watch something I see something that I missed the first time I've watched it. i'd like to get the whole trilogy on DVD so I can watch it at home whenever I want.

I'm a huge Michael J. Fox fan too. (That probably accounts for at least half of the times I've watched the trilogy!) I used to love watching Family Ties when I was a kid. I never missed an episode, and I cried when it went off the air. I've got the trilogy on VHS, but I would really like to get it on DVD as well. All three tapes are pretty worn (go figure, lol!) Thanks for your response!

Hiya ivyoon, I am a definite fan of these three Films but I just donĀ“t have the time to watch them over and over as the Television is taken over by Football and Politics. So not much chance for me to see it at all. Once in a Blue Moon maybe. Enjoy your marathon.
