I've never been on a rollercoaster before and I'm 27, my 7yrold step daughter loves em. But I'm scared to death of them. I've seen so many accidents about them. I'm scared of heights so that's one reason I would never go on one. And another is I just don't think I can handle the rush of things. What was it like on your first rollercoaster ride? My husband wants me to ride one before I die but he doesn't help with the support part of things, just the taunting part.

I love rollercoasters! I rode my first one when I was about 13 and I was instantly hooked! Busch Gardens is about an hour away from me, they have the best coasters ever!

Oh, I love them! I was barely tall enough to go on my first one with my father and brother. It was in Hershey Park and it was AWESOME! I was hooked! My oldest loves them also, but my youngest never did. One day he decided to go on one with us - and it was a more advanced one so I was kinda hesitant - and he loved them after that. My husband gets sick so he can't go on them so when I went to the park with his kids I rode them with his son. Like someone else said - start with a kiddie one and see if you want to go to the adult ones after that.

I never had one either until i came here in US. My first ride was Goliath at Magic Mountain here in LA. My husband keep bugging me before to ride with him when i get here and i always said no but then when we got there at the place i cant do anything but to ride with him. And i rode it!!OMG!it felt like im going to die!!i felt like inside my stomach will come out lol!!and guess what i did? I just close my eyes and hold the bars so tight!!hahahaha and when we got out from the ride i got dizzy lol Gosh i cant really forgot that ride ever and i told to myself i dont wanna ride anymore!!but it was funny though cuz after the ride you can view your pictures in there and we both laughing because of our faces in the the pictures i swear it was really funny i still can remember my face in the pictures hahaha. My husband still keep bugging me until now to go back there and ride again i dont know why its really fun for others but for me not and never!!!but im still glad i still made it and experienced what it feels like to ride in the roller coaster lol. Thats my experience for roller coaster. If you want to ride just try it but if your really afraid of heights dont do it cause its not good for you and you might experience a shock when you get out from the ride. Goodluck!!!

Me too, I've never been on a roller coaster since birth and up to now. I'm also a bit scared of heights. I don't why people like riding the coaster but to me it's just a waste of time.I'd rather surf the net than ride on that. hehe

I am also scared of riding a rollercoaster. I've tried it once and it really feels like hell. Since then, I never repeated it again. I am afraid of heights. I don't like the idea of being up high. I cannot stand looking downward and see people like ants down below.

roller coasters may seem intimidating, thats how it was when i first saw them, and yea, the accident stories also contribute. but when i finally went on them, i found it a lot more fun than i thought it was going to be. and i ended up going on all the fastest and tallest ones :) like all things, the first time is the hardest
