Have you heard about the fundraiser for Rudy Guiliano in Palo Alto, CA where it costs $9.11 to attend? I don't know about anyone else but I think that's really very exploitive and totally disrespectful to the victims of 9/11. Some of the news coverage I've seen about this have eluded to the fact that while he could never have gotten away with that in the east, where many people had friends and relatives who died in NYC, D.C. or Pennsylvania but in California there's more distance and therefore less sensitivity to the subject. I guess that means you can exploit a tragedy as long as you're not in the victims' backyard. Does anyone else think this is in very poor taste? Since we have myLotters from so many different places there should be many objectives opinions on this.

Just like Bush had high ratings after 9/11, and used that against us. Rudy is doing the same thing. Well guess what? We are going to fall for it anymore. That was a tragic day for America and to use that day to make money or raise money or whatever he has done repeatedly is disgusting!

Before I read any other responses here I thought, How disgusting. Not only is it inflammatory of him to do this it also makes me wonder if there is anything else to his candidacy! I am so tired of hearing about Rudy and 9/11! What about Rudy's ideas on healthcare? I have yet to hear any. I didn't like the guy ot begin with, now I like him even less.

That's an excellent point...with all the debates they've had so far he hasn't really said what he plans on doing about anything, it's just war on terror, we were attacked, war on terror... I don't think there is anything else to his candidacy and it will surely wear thin before November of 2008!
