How easy is it to really work from home?

If I could have one wish it would be to be able to work from home without doing sales. I spoke with my sister and that is a big interest of hers too. There are plenty of women and men that want to be stay-at-home parents. I am not very strong at sales...actually I am horrible. Is that fair to say that because I do not feel comfortable doing cold calls that I can not stay home with my child? It just seems to be a lot harder to be a full time provider for your family and see them these days! Does anyone agree with me? I know there are more of you out there or there wouldn't be soo many work-from-home websites.

I am a web designer and marketing woman that works from my home office. Honestly I LOVE it! I can work in my underwaer, have my greyhound by my side and have more time with my childrens school activities. Don't get me wrong though. Working at home will only be successful IF you have a great deal of self-discipline and focus. I work from 9 - 3 daily, and back at it whenever needed at night and weekends. I commit to my at home business and take it seriously. The freedom of being able to be at home and work at midnight if I want is great. I will never work for anyone else again!

It's true that the legit work at home businesses are mostly sales in some shape or form. I work from home but it is sales, and I do have to talk to people a lot. However have you ever tried ebay to make a little extra money. It is sales but you don't have to talk to anyone. I have a second business there that works out great. Other than that without sales the best you are going to find is mylot. Unless you like to baby-sit.

I would like to work from home. But I like my job, and it would be difficult to do it from home. You're not allowed to run a business out of your home (the kind where people come to your house) in this city. I guess if I worked from home, I would try to get work writing stuff.

My husband and I actually train people to work from home. It's not direct sales, but you do need to talk to people - mostly people you know at first. Right now we're looking for people who want to make between $2,000 and $5,000 a month. It is WORK, you wont sit back and let the internet make all the money for you (like you see on a lot of websites). You actually can run this business either online or offline or like I do with a combiniation of both. Feel free to check out my link in my profile and add me as a friend if you'd like to find out more. If you visit my website, fill out the Get More Info tab and I'll get back to you right away so we can chat about it. Take care!!!

I also wanted the idea of just working at home and at the same time could be able to attend to my children's needs. They are too young to be left on the care of maids or relatives. i wanted to personally take good care of them. That is why i heavily engage on online programs hoping and wishing i will make some extra income here.

You could take an online course to be a medical transcriptions. It's rather expensive to get the cert and then the foot pedals but you can make a good amount of money from that and it's 100% work from home. I did have a link somewhere for beginning regular transcriptionist work that doesn't require a certification. I'm on a new laptop so I will have to look around on mylot (because I've posted it before) and I'll put it here if I find it. Good luck!

I would love to be able to work from home, but after doing a small freelancing project over one of my vacations, I realized that it takes a LOT of dedication to actually get work done from home. It also can be a lot more difficult to make as much money as you need to get through the month. I could probably make about a quarter of what I make now if I worked from home, but I would lose my benefits from my job.
