Do you post your child's picture online? Do you ever worry about their privacy or safety if you do? Do you put their pic as an avatar? I tend to put pictures of my pets or siggy tags that have my name as my avatar. I don't have children of my own but I do have tons of pics of my Niece and Nephew but never post them...simply b/c I feel that since it is a picture of them...they should decide whether or not to put it online. I've also seen pics of naked babies, toddlers and even 7-8 year olds...I think I would be mortified to find out my parents put a naked pic of me online even as a baby especially with all the perverts out there. I'm not saying it's wrong to do it or that it shouldn't be done just wondering why ppl do it and whether they have any problems putting their kids pics, naked or not, on the internet for the world to see. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Antonio/Great-grandson - Photo of my youngest great-grandson, Antonio.
I have posted photos of a couple of my great-grandkids on myLot, twoey, for no other reason than the fact I am pleased as punch to have such adorable ones. I know there is the potential for abuse of anything you put out on the internet, but I see no harm in posting these types of photos on a site like this. They are always fully dressed, though. I would never post a photo of a child in any form of undress. I just got some beautiful photos of my youngest great-grandson from his mom yesterday. His name is Antonio.

Oh now, he is a cutie. I wanted to brag that my great-nephew was cuter, but that little one is just as cute. He is adorable, you should be proud.

Hello I have 2 girls and I also do not see the harm in posting pics in forums you visit often, I mean if you go there and know the people and chat with them for months and months they become a family to you, you like to share stuff like that, I would never ever ever put any of my childrens naked baby pictures on here, that is just wrong and those are private anyway. I know what your saying about pervs, that show how to catch a predator proofs that.

I got into a big discussion on this in my freeby forum and a lot of mothers today do not realize the dangers, for one there are a lot of sick people out there for some reason get their kicks from taking photos of children then doing things with the photos to create porography, putting pictures up on the net makes it so easy for them as they don't have to even leave their lounge room, here in Australia it has been made illegal for people to take photos of children at school or swimming pools without the parents permission, men are being questioned when they are taking photos of children in these areas...then there is another aspect, it is a very small world with the internet, it is possible a small chance but it can happen, that one of your neighbours could very well be on the same forum, they could and has been known to get fixations on children, many strange things are happening to children these days, personally I don't think parents should put photos up on the internet of their children as someone said to me on the net once anything gets put up, floats around forever....

I dont post my kids pics often but I dont see any issues with it. My kids are not allowed online unless im sitting with them and I dont give out any of there personal information. Im not going into chat rooms going arent my kids cute and handing out pics so I feel I have nothing to worry about.

I do post pictures of my son, and don't see any harm in it. He is always fully clothed. He's still small enough that he isn't ever anywhere without my husband or me, so he is in no more danger from having his pictures up than he would be anyway. The only information that identifies where I live posted anywhere, is either out of date, or says that I live outside of an Air Force base in North Dakota. Either way, it would be hard to track us down without a last name or something. Anything that I have posted that might include my real name, I don't have pictures of my son, or it's kept password protected.

In this day and age I would be very wary of putting childrens pictures on the internet at all. You never know who is looking at your child, and it seems very easy for perverts to get access to child pictures this way. Perhaps I am a bit of a worrier but it really bothers me when I see people putting up pictures of little children.

I don't think I would ever post my children's pictures on a public forum. I do have a private blog that I use to communicate with friends. SO I could post them there, knowing no one would see them but my friends. There are too many dangers to getting images out there. Heck, I don't even post pictures of myself!!

Absolutely not. My kids don't want my grandkids photos on the net either....it's just the principle of the idea. I spoke at an elementary school, one my granddaughter attends. I was not allowed to photograph any of the kids.....no camera's allowed at all on the campus. For their protection.

I put pic's of my pets and of my children and grandchildren, but only with premission.I do not favor naked pic's.I am funny about the pic's I use, like you say you do not know who is looking at them.I love my family and I would hate the thought of someone using their pic for something not attented.

An avatar is always the best way to go for kids... older people can use their faces, but littles need to be protected.

I would never put pictures of my grandchildren online as you cannot control who sees them and, although most people would look at them in innocence there are too many people who do not.

If my son were younger, I probably would not post his picture, but now that he's 24 and has dozens of photos on his my Space, I'm thinking of posting a few of the Halloween shots from when he was younger to decorate my Yuwie profile. Anyone else's children, I would have to have the parents permission. Quite honestly, I can see no good reason for me to even ask.

I only posted pictures of my children at friendster. Because my account there is exclusive only for my relatives and friends. I posted it so they will see my kids even they are far from us. it is good for me for this kind of purpose only.

I did not post my child's pictures online. But, however you would not know who's in photo when they grow up. Their face will absolutely change!
