What's the best state you've lived in?

United States

For those of you that have lived in multiple states, which one is your favorite and why? I've only lived in NY and PA and I can say I would not recommend PA. I didn't like it at all. I'll most likely always live in NY, but I would definitely enjoy the adventure of moving to a different state. So, let's here it!

Well I live in PA and always have so I don't know any different. I bet it probably depends on what parrt of the state because there are many differences from area to area. I am curious now though what did you and the other responder dislike about PA? .

Hey there foxy :) Like I told another responder, I meant no offense! :P I didn't enjoy living there. I was closer to Pittsburgh. People were very unfriendly, everywhere. There were a lot of "shady" characters, and I just didn't feel like it was ever home. Thanks for your response!

I grew up in Ohio,(oh the horrible childhood memories) moved to NC when I remarried, for 6 months, then to SC for 6 years, then to TN for 2.5 years and now back to my favorite my HOME SWEET HOME South Carolina.

Thanks for responding LP! I have never been to SC, but it sounds like a good place to live. I almost moved to NC, but we decided against it (not enough time to plan a move). I've also never been to Ohio, but I'm not sure there's anything spectacular about that state ;) Thanks again!

Gee, I'm hurt... I've only ever lived in Pennsylvania and I see two of you so far didn't like it at all. I'm not happy with the winters, I'd love to live in Florida where there are none but I'm curious as to what you guys dislike to much about Pa. I've been to quite a few other states but I've never lived anywhere else so I don't have any basis for comparison, so let me have it! Annie

Hi annie, thanks for your response! I meant no offense! ;) It's not that I don't like PA itself, I just wasn't a fan of living there. I'm sure it could have just been the area, but people weren't ever very friendly. Not much to look at either (again, must've been the area). Ah well, I don't hate on PA, I just won't ever live there again.

No offense taken! I consider myself a pretty friendly person but I can't disagree there are some really snooty people around here. I just thought there were people like that all over, apparently we have a bit of an edge! lol We do have some pretty areas, nice mountains, and when the leaves turn the foliage is beautiful. But we have no beaches and not a whole lot when it comes to resort areas and culture. Our economy kind of sucks too. But, I'm friendly so will you take me to your state? Annie
