I have 3 brothers & 1 sister. I always wondered what it was like to be an only child. I always thought that it would be so cool to be the only one there, getting all the attention, etc. but then as I got older I realized that when things happened in the family, it helped alot to have siblings.

I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I am glad I'm not an only child. My brothers and sisters are very important to me. This is why we are having another baby soon.......so that Bella has someone to play with and grow up with!

I only have 1 sister, but I have 4 brothers. I am the baby and my sister is the oldest. There is a 9 1/2 year gap between my sister(oldest) and myself.

I grew up in a polygamous home and were a family of 10 boys and 7 girls. my father had two wives. I feel being a lone in the family could be dangerous to te upbringing of the child-there would be too much pampering!

I have two siblings, a younger brother and sister. I am the eldest of the three, that's why I sometimes have a good advantage in taking over them!LoL (Of course, nobody does that!) Hehehe! I believe that having sibling(s) is more enjoyable than being alone, it is fun to play and chat with people which are closely related to you.

I have 4 brothers and a sister. Actually I have 1 biological brother, 2 half brothers and a step brother and step sister but since we have all been raised together mostly they are just my brothers and sister. One is older than me and the rest are younger. The oldest is 43 and the youngest is 26. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I have 1 brother and 1 sister. For me it is fun to have siblings than be an only child. When I was a kid I used to think that being an only child was fun, but I was wrong. I enjoy having my siblings around eventhough there maybe times we dont get along with each other.

I'm an only child, and from my experience, it was not at all what everyone who had siblings assumed it was. I wasn't spoiled or anything like that which a lot of people speculate, and didn't get what I wanted any more than my friends and acquaintances with siblings did. I could buy into having gotten more attention from my parents, but that wasn't always a positive thing (because I got all of the bad out of the relationship to myself as well as the good). Because I have always had social anxieties, I never really had many friends either, and the friends I did have either weren't that close, or lived far away so I always felt alone (not to mention jealous of all my peers because almost all of them had siblings... when they would tell me how annoying their siblings were, I felt like saying, "you don't know how good you have it.") I always (and still) long to have siblings, but it's all too late for that now. This isn't to say I had a horrible or difficult time growing up... far from it. Being an only child just was not a positive experience for me. I have known other only children who feel differently though.
