Uw, that's a tough one. I am so bad at gift shopping. You know, moms are so good at just being happy that you thought of buying her something for her birthday. I would suggest you take her out to dinner as well. That's not original either but she would love it. Or how about making her dinner? Mmmmm. That might be fun. Well, tell her happy birthday from a MyLot friend. Have a good one.

Maybe a rose or few roses (fake if possible) then go to an arts and crafts store and have some creative fun with them like dyes, glitter. (I gave a altered cyan and blue looking flower to my grandma once) Might be too late though since it is late in the day.

You should sit and try to remember what is that thing which she really wanted!! I can tell you some things which you can gift to her! -A good sweater. -A nice pair of shoes, sandals any thing. -YOu can give her and her friends some tickets to her favourite movie. -You can buy her a full day in a spa, or can get herself a manicure or pedicure or both of them!! -If she is a reader then you can gift her a really nice novel..!! -YOu can buy her nice pair of sunglasses. -a good pearl jewellry can do wonders!! -you can by her a nice dress too. -can also give her a couple of tickets to a really good place, if your willing to spend some money!! -can give her a nice blanket. -a good painting will also do great job to decorate the walls of her home. There are many!! YOu can even make something by your self for her. It would be better if you make something by yourslef for her, it really feels good when you see that somebody has "made" a gift for you...!1 like knitting her a sweater, or blanket, or you cna even paint a nice painting for her. :)

hello, xboxboy! Can you cook? If you are good at it, you may prepare a dinner for your mother. If you cann't, perhaps you can help her with the housework. Mother is always the most toilsome one in a family, so you can share with her. Not only on her birthay but also as much as you can. For the substantial gift, you can buy her a useful one no matter original or not. I think your mother will not care about it. She will be very happy as long as you give her a gift. Happy birthday to your mother in advance!

Last year, instead of flowers, I gave my mom a potted flowering plant. She loved it and put it outside on the porch they had just built immediately and a year later she still has the plant.

What about some lovely perfume to put inside - I know she would love that! The most original thing I ever gave to my Gran was a promise note - that she could use 3 times to get me to do something for her that I would never normally do! Having said that being dressed as a frump and going to bingo wasn't much fun so be careful what you promise if you decide to try it! Happy Birthday to your Mum! xxxx

Hi xboxboy I hope your moms birthday is a blast for you and her... I love my mom dearly and I always think really hard when it comes to her birthday. One year I couldnt think of anything cause my mom has almost everything already, so I went and bought a picture frame and I went threw some of my baby pictures and family pictures and I picked out one that had me as a child with my mother in the younger days. On the back of the picture I said Dear Mom I love you and I hope you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I just wanted to remind you that I will always remember the life you gave to me and how much you have been there for me, love always then my name. I wrapped it up and tied a bow around it with a little card hanging down that said to the best mom in in the world on her birthday!! I gave it to her and she cried and cried, tears of joy of course... Hope that gives you and idea, gifts from the heart is going to be the best choice!!!

You can also give her a letter of appreciation. Write also a poem for mother in the letter. Write to her about your feelings and how much you love and respect her and about the memorable memories you have with her. Well, maybe this answer's a bit too late he he he...anyway, HAPPY B-DAY for your Mom!!! ;-D
