its not 100% that every one have elder brothers but i have two, they are elder than me and i respect them a lot as much i can do.but their is a problem that i found in all elder brothers that they restrict to us so much they ask to kee avoid bad thinf even they have done in their pasts well that true we all behav same with small boys to, but there is a very good thing tha i found in elder brothers that they love to spend their money on their little brothers and i am enjoying a lot this situatios, thats why i love them not because they spend their money on me because they love to spend their money on me

i have an elder brother but we treat each other as friends..we respect each other though..i mean, i respect everybody coz that's the only way i can gain respect from them..sometimes it's cool to have an older brother..sometimes it's irritating too..hehe dont get me wrong here..but as for my situation, my older bro is just a year older than me so it's like, we're just friends..it's okay...we fought before..fought too much i should say bt as we get older, things get a little less complicated and we just simply grew up..

For me respect is something that you earn. It's not a birthright. Not just because you were born earlier than me, doesn't mean you deserve my respect. And not just because I'm the youngest in the family, doesn't mean I don't deserve respect.

I have a high respect for my elder brother. He showed me real brotherly love when we are growing up until now that we already have families of our own. he always there for me. Especially that my hubby works abroad. He is still supporting me even he laready works abroad. We are close and we always communicate with each other.

If you will not discuss the work of your elder brothers. If you say in forum the school where your elder brother has studied(This school is parent, society or college ?). Then your elder brother will not spend money for you. rather your elder brother will offer a cup of tea/or cool drinks to you. May be I am wrong....

Yes I agree with you. My elder brother was so strict with me that more than a brother he looked like a dictator to me.I could never feel comfortable in his presence....this uneasiness is even now when I am married and mother of two children. Thank God I have also a younger brother, with whom I enjoyed my childhood and gave some meaning to relationship of brother and sister. But now he is also married and settled in USA and I am here with my family.....haven't seen him for many years now. I do miss my both brother inspite of thier different natures. After all they are my brothers.

I have to older stepbrothers. They are my father's sons from his first wife who passed away when they were little boys. My father got married again and I am the eldest of the children from the second wife. I have deep respect for my older brothers. We all have our own families now, but they never fail to come and visit my family every now and then. We are very very close. I love my older brothers very much. They care for me a lot and are always concerned about me.

Hello furganoops, I have an elder brother and yes I respect him very much. He's much more older than me and we have a big age gap. I have learned a lot of things from him about life, people, etc.. He supports me in all my decisions and evrything that I do. And he's always available whenever we need his help. I love my brother for he's like a second father to all of us in the family whose younger than him. :-)

the restrictions is simply coming from this reason....they have done bad things, they have suffered the consequences, they have survived such situations, now they care so much about you that, they do not want you to go through the same tough situations. it pays to listen. elders brother would be happy to find their little brother leading a better life and have learn from their mistakes. they want to protect you as much as they can. listening to them is our simple way of saying "thank you, my brothers". also, make communications with them constantly, talk about all you concerns, they will listen and understand.
