I live in Beijing now which have no more than three million cars, but the traffic jam take place everyday, especially during peak hours in the morning. Most people feel it hard to go to downtown area. It is a normal scene in Beijing's afternoon that cars in some streets drive slowly. Living in the world's most populated country, you have to endure all such troubles, even if you have a roadster. Traffic jam is a terriable thing. We have tried "odd&even day" program to solve it,in which the cars whose last number is odd can drive on the road in the odd day(vice versa). In these days, the traffice jam drops down. But I think it's not a good idea to limit the number of cars. We should think more about the overall arrangement and structure of the city. Does traffic jam take place in your area frequently? Does your government find out how to solve it?

Back in Indonesia, there are traffic jams EVERYWHERE. In Jakarta, they try to solve it by introducing "three in one" lanes. So when you pass by those roads, there have to be at least three people in the car.
Now I live in Lapland, Finland, there's NO traffic jam at all, THANK YOU very much. I like this village 'coz nobody even honks their car horns. They don't have to do that as there aren't that many cars here!!!
This is why I think city people are more impatient than villagers. City people encounter traffic jams too often and then they also have to queue in the stores or supermarkets. In villages, people are more laid-back and relaxed.

Yeah, I have become more impatient since I come to big city. I also miss the time when I travel in the little town,or almost a village. Time passes so slow there. Thank you to response.

I spent over an hour in a traffic jam this afternoon driving out of London. Despite the best efforts of the authorities, it only takes one small incident to cause a major traffic jam, one car breaking down and the road is gridlocked

I live in a suburb of Boston and there are some well traveled roads that are called parking lots at different times of the day because of the traffic jams.
