I actually began meditating after I miscarried a few times. The doctor says if you can master it then you can do anything. The first thing you need to do is make a space where you can designate as your meditation spot. By doing this you allow your body to be able to relax when ever you go to this spot. It is best to put down a blanket a pillow if you want and a cndle or two with LIGHT scents (something powerful messes with your brain when you meditate). Then you need to set aside at least 30 minutes to start with. Next you need to lay down on your back and breathe slow deep breathes. With every deep breathe tell your body to relax a specific spot at a time, i.e. one breathe relax your feet, then one breathe your calves, etc all the way to your head. After you have done this try to sense any spots in your body that have tension and for each place you feel it take a deep breathe and clench the muscle and then relax it while breathing out. After you have completely relaxed imagine yourself walking through the woods and then laying in the sun in a clearing and tell yourself to look around, after yiu have done this for a while tell yourself to stand up and walk back into the woods and slowly bring yourself back into the "now" by waking up and slowly get up. This is the best way to start your meditating.

I disagree with setting aside 30 minutes to start with. I only meditate for 10 minutes and I do just fine. I think you should start small and work your way up. Don't overwhelm yourself.

Though my way is unorthodox, I usually just find a nice place to relax. Relaxing I'm able to focus inward. It also helps to really clear thought and to be in a dark and quiet room. Sometimes I have candles going (some scented just to get my mind going on a single stimuli if I want). There are so many ways to take it. I find just sitting and meditating or sitting quietly can really open up the mind.

Meditation really isnt as hard as it seems in fact you probably already do it daily, most ppl do ;-) If you ever are sitting around and "zone" or daydream for example, thats a form of meditation...Many ppl dont realize that but it is....I think one reason some ppl have a hard time with meditation is because they have this set belief that its about sitting in lotus position and emptying their minds while chanting OM which is NOT necessary....I think a good way to start getting the hang of it is trying things like taking a few minutes a day and just sit in silent awareness or simply sitting in silence...OR you could try simply guided meditations....a really good one IMO can be found on Limewire and is called "Deep Relaxation Meditation" but I'm not sure who its by (though its often listed as a Deepka Chopra med.)....If you dnld it, the meditation is about relaxing your body from toe to head...Try doing that each night in bed and dont worry about falling asleep midway...the purpose for YOU to do it is to get the hang of being aware of your body and getting the hang of doing guided meditations.... As for getting more in tune with your psychic side/you mind...I'm already and always have been in tune so I cant really help out too much with that one BUT I can suggest a great book called Psychic Development for Beginners....I think a key factor is being fully aware of yourself and your surroundings....For me personally, being completely aware over the past several yrs (rather than only semi aware) has enhanced my psychic me...I'd see if you cant find that book at your local library..Another good one is Creative Visualization but I forget the authors name..I can look it up for yu if you like though..

I knew most of this i just was needing some tips. thanks for yours. I am in tune with my psychic side i guess I just want to controll it a little better. I see ghosts or whatever and I want to control that part so I dont just see them out of the blue. I also want to control my imagages that I imagine in my mind that will fall away before I finish with them. I dotn know. I tryed to Astral Project one time adn I got to this state of mind that felt very weird it was like a womp womp felling in my body and i heard voices that I couldnt understand then all of a sudden out of no where I hear my fiance saying Are you all right and he wasnt even home he was at work. I woke up and that was the only time I got anything remotley close to the astral plain. I guess when I say meditate I probelay realy mean visiting A differant plain of exisitance (this means you know my sub consisios mind or something sorta like that) thanks again for the tips.

I always give 2 important pointers. One is get comfortable. Maybe sit with your back against a wall for support. Use a folded up blanket or pillow under your bum. Or even do it laying down. because you need to relax and you can't relax if your uncomfortable. And 2 is what I stated above. Don't overwhelm yourslef. Start off small. Maybe five minutes. And work your way up. And find something to focus on. I prefer to close my eyes, others use a soft gaze. I then focus on my breath. As breath is life. Focus as it flows in and out of your body and how is flows. Many people use a mantra and repeat it to them selves over and over again. For me that only works for about a minute. So I tend to not do that. The idea is to get in tune with your body first. Listen to what it is telling you. Feel where you might be stressed or tight or discomfort. And breathe into those areas. The mind will come when your body is ready.

Thank you I will try this. I guess I have experianced something like it before. If you look above I explain one time when I tried to Asteral Project and the outcome. When I tryed this I relaxed my whole body and I kept reapetign to myself Leave my body and put all my thoughts into seeing the wall above me. I explain the rest above. So I guess this was more of a meditation than an Asteral Projection

success of meditation depends upon your mentality, concentration and power. To start meditation, at first just draw a point on the wall at eye lavel when you are in seating position. then, seating in normal position, try to concentrate to the pointfor 1 minutes. And try to raise the times to do so. do it at very morning regularly at least one month. you will get result. But, remember regularity should be maintained. before sun rise is the best time of meditation.
