Are you satisfied with the present and happy now?

Mark Twain said,'I have been through some terreible things in my life, some of which actully happened.' What doed it mean? Practice keeping your attention on the here and now!
Some persons cann't feel happy at all, because there are too many things they worry about, the past, the present, and the future. It is too hard to live in this way. The past is past, worrying about it will change nothing; the future has not come, the worrying is redundant. So the most important thing is the present, and you should think about it otherwise you will worry about the same thing 3 times~~ right?
To a large degree, the measure of our peace of mind is determined by how much we are able to live in the present .Irrespective of what happened yesterday or last year, and what may or may not happen tomorrow, the present moment is where you are-- always!
Considering the present, are you happy?

If you ask me this question one week ago,my answer would surly be "NO".Over one month ago,I left my dear campus,dear roommates and my dear friend xiaona who is so important for me and come to Beijing for studing.I feel so lonely , dislike the new enviroment very much and even regret coming here.
Now,I try to love my new office and new work,for my dear friend told me that everything that God arranged to happen to me is reasonable and I will bi rewarded for all I am experience.And there's a saying that "If you are ringht,everything that happens to you cannot ever be wrong."So,I try my best to be happy,for myself,for my friend.

hi, dear snowdropzhai. I am glad that you have adapted yourself to the new surroundings. And I learn from what you said that you have a good friend, and she or he encourages you all the time. You are so lucky, and she or he is lucky too owning such a good friend as you! I hope you will be better and better on your new work and new life and hope that you and your friend will be together one day! A ZA A ZA fighting!

yes, i am satisfied with my current life, although i can't earn enough money online for my living, but i still live a happy life now. Hope is necessary for everyone. and i believe i can earn enough money in few months later, and i am working hard on it.
why not being happy in everyday? if you are sad, then you have to pass 24 hours in a day, so why not being happy??

i totally agree with what you have said especiaally the point that if you are sad then may be you will have cut down another 24 houtrs to be happy means we lose 24 hours of our life so be happy be cool

I am very very satisfied with my present condition of living,thanks to god that he gave me a respectable living conditions and good background for my development

Excellent observation chym1101, I am also having thoughts about this on others too. Because for me, I can be happy and contented everyday, but that doesn't mean that I will not improve my way of living. It just means that I don't expect something of which I cannot get a total hold of, I only enjoy what I can endure as of the present.
I never give a thought of my past, especially when it is not good. It's better to move on and think of what is in the present, motivate one's self to live a better life in the future..
