I came to find out that the basic emotions are very much universal in spite of the culture and the surroundings of the society where people live.It is so comforting to see that the decency,manners,love,affection friendship and goodness have not dwindled as most of the people think.What is your opinion?

I've always been able to look beyond the boundaries. I see a person as an individual and don't judge them based on where they come from. I know a few of my friends do...they think in terms of the place where the person comes from or the religion that the person follows and react to them accordingly. I'd rather know the person before I jump to conclusions on how they think or what type of person they are.

A single person is greatly influenced by the the culture and style of the society in which he was born and brought up.Life's values definitely change from place to place.But what I found amazing through mylot the core values remain the same worldwide as you said.That is so wonderful and comforting.

Hi balasri, Thanks for starting this discussion. What you are saying here is very true. I have always believed that basically people are good, regardless of race, or culture. Someday everyone will come to understand this, and we will all be as one. Blessings my friend.

Firstly, I must appreciate for starting a wonderful discussion. Now, coming to the matter, I feel, you are right. The basics concept of GOOD and BAD is similar anywhereon earth. Differences are due to culture, community, region but VALUES are the same. As long as we all have our values right we can never be different from each other. Happiness for all - that's what Utilitarians opine of , right?

Thanks.I always used to be surprised at the mothers' feelings,brotherly affection,and love for the spouse,and honest friendship of many of my western friends which were supposed to be very eastern or Indian.But these people are no lesser than anybody else in having good values which is really wonderful.You get a + for your apt response.

yes you are right. it is here in mylot website that we people can share our thoughts. although there might be a lot of contrasting thoughts and ideas still it is good to know that we could share our differences and not judge the other as to who is right or wrong.
