Disney Classics

I enjoy most of Disney's new cartoons; Happy Feet, Cars, Shrek, ect. But for me, there is something missing in them that the older Disney movies had. I absolutly love the Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast, Alladin, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and other like that. Disney used to have a style of telling stories that used to entrance and drag us into the stories. Their Classics have survived many many years of kids. But I don't think that their new movies have that quality. They are still good, I just think their missing some quality that they used to hold. Let me know what you all think!

Uh. Well Happy Feet and Shrek were not Disney Movies. Disney is Pixar. Happy Feet was a Warner Bros movie and Shrek was a Dreamworks movie. I think a big difference in the movies (whether it be Disney or not) is... What happened to Cartoons?! You know? I mean...everything is CGI these days. What happened to the art of cartooning? that's what I keep wondering. I think there is something special about Old Disney movies that the newers ones just don't have... and I think part of it is because Disney likes money these days...not quality. If Walt Disney were still alive himself, Disney would still be classic I think.

haha! Thank you raychill for correcting my mistake. I mistaked Happy Feet and Shrek for Disney movies. Its so hard to tell latley. They all use the same "quality" of movie making now. I'm not sure exaclly how to explain what I mean when I put quality. Its the way the pictures are shown. The charecter drawings, the motions, the lighting, the overall computerness of all the work kind of blends all the movies together now-a-days.

It sounds like you're talking about the fact that it's all CGI. Which is the fact that they all use the same computer technology to make these movies.

I definitely agree that the classic Disney movies had something special about them but i've never been able to put my finger on it. The older ones still make me feel like a child, all happy and content in my own world. I enjoy the more recent films but they're different....maybe it has something to do with the animation style these days, i'm not really sure to be honest!

Hello rainbowbright. I like you're avatar. Really cute. I too like watching the new movies like what you have mentioned, but I have to agree with you nothing beats the classic movies. They are truly the best and one of a kind..

...Happy Feet and Shrek aren't Disney. xD I think classic disney movies are the best cartoons ever. They're charming and classy and never seem to go out of popularity. :]

yeah i like the old cartoons too i think that if walt was still alive things at disney would have changed and the one guy who i hate is michel eisner cause he fired all of the disney animators and used computer animation instead and he tried to sell disney but now he's fired so everthing okay now.
