Which Historical Event Would You Most Like To Have Witnessed?

If you could go back in time to witness one historical event in person (as opposed to just reading historical accounts of it), what would it be? For me, it would be the defense of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 (esp of the flag still standing!) which inspired Francis Scott Key to write what became our national anthem (this is of course a significant event in American History). That story just never fails to amaze me every time I read or hear it! The other event that comes to mind is Jesus' resurrection. Is there a historical event that has touched you or that you feel so strongly about its significance that you would have liked to have seen it for yourself when it happened? It can be recent ot primitive, and it can be world history or just a specific piece of your country's history... What is that event and what is its meaning to you?

I would have liked to have been alive when man first walked on the moon. Because now it seems so ordinary. But back then it was life altering. It isn't the biggest of historical events, but I would have enjoyed that. That and I would have liked to have been in the colony of Roanoke. It drives me nuts that no one knows for certain what happened to them. So if I was there, I could know. I'd cease to exist, but oh well...

I think it would be pretty cool if I could go back into to the Boston Tea Party and see first hand how the colonists threw the British tea into the water to protest high taxes, because it would be very inspiring to see them do it,rather then read it in a history book, because I am sure it was one heck of a feeling standing up for freedom especially since what they did could have probably gotten them hanged.
