WOW!!!! What a summer and fall...whew!!

Hiya all my friends...Sorry I have made like a ghost 'round here last few months but I have been so darn busy that my keyboard actually accumalated a thick layer of dust. lol Puter actually coughed and gagged when I fired it up after 2mos. rest. Rest assured, I haven't forgotten any of my friends here. Been itching to at least come and say hi and let e1 know I haven't forgotten my friends I've made here in mylot.:-) I've since took in a kitten named Simba who Tigger buddied up with real quick. Poor guy has been mutilating himself ever since Lightning passed on and knew he needed a new pal and SOON. A food pantry in my town burned down in what we believe was arson but investigators aren't talking about much so I have been helping clean up the mess so they can rebuild asap. Cut my finger pretty bad this past Saturday and needed stitches. I'm telling ya, I'd rather go thru child birth again than go thru having stitches put in. Talk bout paiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnn... Anyways, hope e1 is doing ok and will start reading alllllllllll the discussions waiting for me and respond. Gonna take me a while but I'll catch up by spring. lol Take care, my friends.:-) ppppppsssssttttt......Smoke-free for bout 2 months now.:-D

Well, first of all, big welcome back. Congrats on the new kitty. Congrats on being smoke free. I bet it's nice to breathe again. I would like to be able to breathe, but I've been sick, and my asthma is way out of whack, so I can't breathe, and I don't smoke. lol Well, actually my husband smokes, so I breathe his nasty smoke. Good luck catching up, I've been pretty active, and I can't even catch up. lol

Thanks for the big welcome back and everything else, brendakaya. Always been able to breathe but the smoker's cough is gone which was bugging the crap outta me. With your asthma, your hubby shouldn't be smoking anywhere near you. Your in my thoughts and prayers that you get better soon.

WTG blackbriar! Of course cleaning up the fire might not count as totally smoke free.... very small joke.
I've found homes for the 2 kittens we took in and Cookie, but have since picked up another cat, Capt. Jack (Harkness not Sparrow.)
If you didn't like your stitches, try having one WITHOUT any pain deading!!

It's not! lol After 3 showers, I STILL reek of rotten meat and soot from last Sat. cleaning. Glad to hear they went to new homes and Capt. Jack sure looks like a sweet cat. Looks just like Tigger. I couldn't feel them putting the stitches in but I was cussing a blue streak when the surgeon was giving me shots around the wound to numb it. I very seldom cry when in pain but I did that day.

I tell you what, the pain deadening can be worse than the proceedure sometimes! I refused shots at the dentist until he NAILED a NERVE!
Even with the shots, the second nerve was painful!!! Fact is that he had to replace the roof after the first one since it was a top tooth, but the second one nearly gave him a basement!

I know how you feel. My cat, Dubby adopted a kitten and got her mom along with her. So now, we technically have five cats. Frisky, Dubby, and Goldie, and now Cookie and Storm as well. Cookie and Storm just kind of grew on me, and both gals are so precious. They both so sweet and so cute.

Welcome back. Grats on the 2 months smoke free as well. Minnesota just started the nos moking in ALL oublic buildings here. SO even my A.A. club is smoke free. Ugghh. Well it's great to see ya back and hope to read more from you in the coming days.

Thanks for the big welcome back and being smoke-free, Grandpa Bob. Yeah, IL will be following suit starting Jan. 1st and all the smokers are complaining about it. I'm glad to be back. Sure missed e1 here.

Thanks, thefortunes, for the wb and everything else. Yeah, they helped me out alot when I couldn't afford to buy food so now I'm returning the favor. Besides, we are salvaging what we can and I get to bring alot of stuff home we can use like laundry detergent and softener that didn't burn/melt in the fire.:-) I included a pic of what is left of the pantry.
