Helium Marketplace: Worth it?

For those of you who use Helium, have you tried the Marketplace? It's where they have various companies who pay from like $20-$200 per piece that they need you to write. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and have they been paid using it? How does it work, did you get paid quickly, did you submit and not get picked? I'm interested in trying it, I mean someone has to write these advertising pieces right? It may not be soul changing writing but if it pays the bills I'm willing to do the work. Thanks in advance for sharing!

Just over a month ago I submitted 5 Marketplace articles and 1 of them was chosen, and I have already been paid for it. Considering the rejection levels from 'real world' publishers, I have to say that 1 out of 5 is pretty good odds, considering it was my first time submitting anything to Marketplace. The topics aren't always very interesting, but if you're able to find an angle for one and put a piece together, then I say give it a try.

I haven't spent time around in marketplace because none of those titles are really appealing to me. But I do check out their contests these days and see if there is something I could write about. Those are from $5-$75. I am thinking I might write one in beauty as I need to write more articles anyway, I browsed through the already written articles there and they seem very good. So, I guess I will enter the contest but I hope have hopes in winning *laughs*.

The titles didn't really appeal to me either but for $80+ an article they sure could, lol. I didn't know they had contests. I don't really post to Helium anymore and was going to give it up before I noticed the Marketplace. I made more with AC.

I have written on Helium before but I never made much from it and so I haven't been on there for a long time. I hope to get back on and write again soon for I would like to make more money online as my part time job isnt making me as much money as I would like.

i'm a member of helium, and i know there are some sites like helium, but i am not interested in them. i haven't logged in helium for a long time since i receive nothing from it over a month. maybe i post few articles in it, so i can't receive money. but i think there are lots of ways to earn money online, why i have to choose it? now i find a site in which i can earn 2 dollars. and i have been paid. so i give up helium.

I have spent the last three weeks writing to the marketplace. None of my articles have been chosen so far but it is possible. Right now, it is a good way for me to study for the upcoming tax season.

I like to write and I've never thought I could do it online. But if your good, keep up the effort and keep writing, you never know one unexpected day they may pick your artical.
