On October the 2nd 1836 Charles Darwin ended a 5-year voyage aboard the HMS Beagle, during which he formulated his theory of natural selection, the process in nature by which, according to Darwin's theory of evolution, only the organisms best adapted to their environment tend to survive and transmit their genetic characteristics in increasing numbers to succeeding generations while those less adapted tend to be eliminated.
Darwin's theory was long debated in his time and ever since, some considering him a brilliant scientist, some a madman.
What's sad is that even today there are many people that refuse to see the obvious: the theory of evolution is a well documented and well proved reality.
I created this discussion to honor the memory of this great scientist and to ask for your opinion on his work and ideas.
By the way, I strongly recommend reading the book "A Naturalist's Voyage Round the World"

Indeed. Agree, semi-agree or disagree, Darwin is worth noting and is research held a lot for science and for life questions. I just hope more research, and more efforts are made toward finding the real truth of life, evolution, natural selection, things of that nature. And hopefully, people will not resort to shams or other low crap to dissuade science from trying to find or theorize on such items.
