I have just started here, so I have not yet developed any expectations. I have only started a handful of discussions. I have been disappointed by the lack of responses I have gotten, but I hope that I will get the hang of this place soon and make some friends.

well, I don't really expect anything when I post a discussion. although, I do hope for a lot of things. ^__^ I think its different since when you expect, you are sure that it would happen but when you hope, there's a probability that I wouldn't happen. that's why it is more disappointing in the end when you expect than when you hope. ^__^

Sure, I expect them. Especially I expect my new discussion will be listed in today's hot discussions. It will be a surprise to me.

I never really expect to have my discsussion in the todays top.The discussion, what are there doesn't really interest me that much, so than I guess mine cannot be in the top, if it is about some other interest.Yes I always expect some friends of mine to answer it and I am looking formawrd to read their opinion all the time. And also I am glad if new people add their response and later can add them to the friends list.

Hehe,
I don't have those feelings, when I start a disccussion, I just like to share my opinions and hope some of the friends in mylot could also state their points.

Of course when I post a new discussion, I expect my friends to respond to my discussion without being ignored. Just yesterday I started and posted a new one, but I don't have many responders from my friends and I feel a little upset, especially those whose discussions I always respond to. Anyway it is ok because I think that my discussion entitled with "When is your National Day?..." may be not interested to people and I am still happy that I have eight responders from my friends.

Sometimes i am a bit like you.. but on most occassions i dont expect too much of responses from my friend.. 'coz u see, mostly my discussions will get only four or five responses.. or rare cases it reaches two digit numbers..

Not really. I just try my luck by posting discussions, hoping that some people are interested enough to respond, whether or not they're in my friends' list he he he he...It's better that way, anyway, 'coz if you hope too much, then you'll get disappointed in the end. ;-D
