MOney, money, money. A lot of people wants to have money. There's a song that goes Money changes Everything! why do you think so? is it true that money changes everything even a person? For me, i can say that this is true for some, cause even relatives, husband and wife, friends hurt and even kill each other because of greed for money! it's sad but this happens, we can hear on TV and news. That's why they also say that money is the root of all evil. Money can change everything for some people but i don't think to all. it will definitely change the status in life of a person and if it goes to their head they change also. In your opinion, does money changes everything? Do you know somebody who changed because of money?

Hi claire, Although some people say that money will never change them, those who suddenly come into a lot of money usually do. They no longer have the same lifestyle as their friends, and if they travel a lot, begin to make new friends whose situation is more like their own. Often too, they are besieged by others asking for money. I don't think it's true that money is the root of all evil, but the love of money can cause a lot of problems for people. Blessings.

Yes, money changes things but not everything. Money can get you material comforts but not peace of mind. Money can force people to show their respect to you but it can not force them to love you. Likewise there are many things where money can not be of any help.

I think money sure changes a lot of things, the way we look at life and our attitude also changes as the money starts pouring in.. Money is both a boon as well as bane for mankind.. With money, comes responsibility and a lot of other unwanted things which u wud hav never wanted out of ur life.. On the other side, money can help u solve many of ur problems and enjoy life to the hilt.. But everything in this world comes with a certain amt. of limitations, and the limitation with money is that it shows if u have...

Hi, yes, money can really change the overall personality of the person, behavior, lifestyle, status in life, etc. Everything can change when we talk about money. I know a lot of people who get riched, and that is because of the money. It is true that money is the root of evil because it can do anything to motivate the person to do bad things just for the sake of money. Have a blessed day to you!

It would take a strong person to not change in personality or their ways in life when coming into money. My husband and I have seen many times where someone came into a huge sum of money and all of the sudden they have many friends. Then once the money is gone, so are the so called friends. It's so sad and yes it is true, money is the root of all evil.

Well if they went without for so long, money does change things. For instance, if you are poor, then you may be afraid to speak up because you might lose what job you have. When you get money, your confidence grows and you can speak up. The same way, if you do not have much money, you cannot give to charities. You may have to volunteer, and maybe that clashes against you trying to earn a living. For instance supposing you work at a homeless shelter and they expect you there between eight in the morning and noon. Then you get an offer for a factory job that starts at seven and finishes at eleven, so you have to decide, the volunteer work or the job? When you have more money, you can donate to the shelter and choose to work an hour there. Anyway I would rather have money than none. That people kill for money means that the desire to kill was already there to begin with. Now instead of insulting people and glaring each other, they now do it.

I really liked this discussion, mostly because of a research article I read not too long ago. Personal translation from danish to english: MONEY MAKES PEOPLE EGOTISTIC: Psykolog: Researches from University of Minnesota have in a range of studies researched how money influences attitudes and behavior. And its has proven that alone the thought of money made the testpersons act more selfishly and less cooperative than others. The research was concluded among students and one of the experiments was to check the helpfullness of ppl, that had read articles about money and ppl that read about other things. After each ended reading, a student would ask the testperson for help for a task. It resulted in; those that read about money in average only wanted to spent half the time on helping them than those that read other articles. Psykologists took this as proof that money does promote the wish to be independant and makes you less likely to want to help others. Its not the best translation, but it works to get the article across :D Its from Illustreret Videnskab, issue 13/2007,p16. The danish equal of any serious scientific news magazine. Have fun :D

oh ! yes 1 my friend, the entire modern societal set-up is centered on financial status. Money is weighed as most important than indivividual merits and academic qualifications. It's money that counts a lot in all spheres of human activity.

Hello there. I think money is a double edged sword. It can help you and it can kill you too. I also think money is the root of all evils. I have a friend whose previous boyfriend left her after he turned richer. Based on this, I think we can say money do change everything. When he was poor, my friend sticked to him and helped him. After he becomes richer, he dumped my friend for another girl. =(

Hello Claire...money indeed can do changes, from economic status, social standing, person's behavior and attitude. I have an aunt, from rags to riches. By the time she was still climbing the ladder of wealth, she's good to her expanded family and relatives. However, those individuals became parasite to my aunt, (applied loans but did't pay) that in return, she became strict to her expanded family and relatives.

If a person is a legitimate individual with good values money has little effect on them ,but some people only want to deal with people with money. When you have money you can do so positive things. Money can be a blessing or a disaster.

Well, my friend....that's not true. Money can't change everything though...it can change many things but not all things. I've known people who have changed because of money. The only thing that changed to them is their fashion in their outfit and the things that they buy. But their attitude's the same as before. I'm thankful to that.
