Do you think it is ok to have one drink and then drive? Some kids in my class earlier were having a very heated discussion about this. What do you all think?

I think it all depends on the person and how long you are going to be out before you drive, everyone handles alchol differently, I think it is fine if you have one drink and then not drive until a few hours later, by then the alchol is not really in your system anymore.. If you know that you cannot handle your alchol then no you should not drive after you have had one drink but usally one drink does not impair you that you are unable to drive

It is a hard question, I guess the best answer it is not to drink if you are going to drive, or at least not ot drink right before driving... But, I think one drink can be ok... but better no to do it!

lol. one thinks that one will have a drink and drive and it's ok but, firstly, it's not good to drink, lol, secondly it's not good to drink and drive, thirdly it never stops at 1 drink. so i guess it's just not wise. it's safer to ride a steed that drive a car after drinking. lol, just kidding , even that is not safe.

Legally speaking, yes, drinking one drink in one hour puts you below the legal limit to drive and it is legally okay. It takes at least two drinks in one hour to be over the legal limit. Not legally speaking, I think driving after two drinks, sometimes even three drinks, depending on how long you've been imbibing and if you've had anything to eat, is okay. Anything more than that, you should have a sober driver or cab fare home.
