I have Canon Power Shot S3 IS camera for a year now and I am very satisfied with it. Of course it is not SLR camera, but it makes very good shoots. Holiday and party pictures are very good. Paparazzi shoots also ;-)

In the settings you have option adjust Date/Time. You have to chose Date to aper on the picture there. I never use that option myself. If you have more questions, just ask.

i have S3 IS and so far it has done good job for me. of course, SLR is still the best but with the use of Post production software such as Photoshop and lightroom, the image's color and sharpness can be adjusted to look better.

I would not use it to do professional photos. For example if you are doing a Wedding I would use it for candid shots but not for the formal shots. I have used the Canon Rebel Xt and it is good but the Canon S3 is no where near the rebeland the Rebelis about as basic a professional camera you would want to use. That said you can get some great photos with the S3 and may even sell some. I work for a small paper taking photos and the owner has an S3 camera and takes photos. If we both take the same event more time than not he will take my photos because they are clearer and sharper.
