Dancing with the stars: A sad announcement.....

I thought Jane was amazingly graceful and beautiful. She is in fantastic shape for her age. She is actually in better shape than I am! My heart goes out to her. I lost my mother a number of years ago and can totally sympathize with what she must be going through. She has real heart.

Sad indeed, my prayers are with her and her family at this time. I do somehow hope that she will be there next week. I guess that will depend on how much she is needed in her homeland. I do remember one season where someone only had a couple of days to prepare due to circumstances and they picked the simplist form of cance to do that week and pulled it off. So hopefully this can be so for her as well.

I had read that news story earlier and wondered what it would mean for her in terms of the show. I figured she would definitely not be voted off this week, but I wondered if she might choose to not continue. I don't see how she can really put the time in that she would need to do well next week, and I can't see how the judges could criticize her without being insensitive to her situation. Perhaps because of her mother's love for the show she can throw herself into it as a tribute to her or something like that? I have really been pleasantly surprised by Jane. I didn't expect to like her much on the show, but she's really delightful. Although her mom was of a very advanced age and clearly had not been in good health, it is still so hard to lose someone you love. My prayers are with her too.
