Cena haters, you got your wish. Cena is out for 6-8 months, seriously injured.

John Cena - Seriously injured and in need surgery, we won't see Cena for six to eight months. I think that stinks!

Well, Monday night, John Cena suffered a major injury requiring surgery and he will be out for six to eight months. He will be stripped of his title and He has a complete tear of right pectoral muscle. A match for the title will happen at Sunday's PPV. I am not a Cena hater, in fact I am fan and this is a blow to WWE. He was probably going to drop the belt anyway but his charisma and personality are badly needed on Raw. I wish him the best. Who do you think will win the belt this Sunday? I'm assuming Orton.

So that's why he's stripped of the title, I was wondering for a while why they did this to him and now I thank you for spreading the credible info!;) He's sure'll be a loss in the industry, but I think he also should pass the "gold" to others since he held for quite a long time now. I am also for Orton, since it's been a long time now since he got his "first and last" individual title. I saw a post about Jericho and HBK coming back, I guess that would be exciting. I'm a fan of both, but I still cram for Y2J. He's so talented and also made a milestone on WWE, but it seems he's still enjoying with FOZZY (his band).

So your reason for Jericho seemed personal, sort of "insiders'" point of view!;) I respect that, since I believe that Jericho will always be good and one of the best in whatever business he's into!;) Thank you for sharing the info, I really appreciate it!;)

I believe they previously done this already to another wrestler, as what I've heard, Batista didn't lost his belt on a match. He was stripped because he got injured and need to take time off for operations, rehabilitation and recovery. It does look unfair mooch, but I guess they already have this as a "special ruling" and that nobody can do anything about it. *sad*

I worked with Chris Jericho in WCW and he is a wonderful guy and super talented. If he has decided to go back to WWE, I wish him all the best. His book comes out on October 25 and I hear it is very good. He is an excellent writer and wrote a column for WCW Magazine when I was the editor. He will be a boost to any promotion. The WWE roster is looking mighty thin and they could use both HBK and Jericho although I still wish Chris would go to TNA for a variety of reasons. But whatever he decides, I know he has thought it through well!

Noooooooooooooooooooooo.. I watched that RAW for this week, when Orton beat him up, and it didn't look so bad then. Forget Cena Haters, what about us Cena lovers? I can't believe this, I mean after all the superstars that are down and out, Cena was one good thing left, if he's out for 6 months, I don't know what will happen to RAW and he's a main eventer in every PPV, how could this be? Is it a real injury or kayfabe? It seems real, because against his match with Mr. Kennedy he seemed to be holding his right arm like it was in pain, throughout the match. I don't believe this. I am gonna miss him so much. I definitely could tell, that it wasn't orton's attack that caused this. :[ I hate this. I can't believe that he has to give up the championship, it's the same as Batista did, any idea when this injury thing started in the first place, since they said that because he's huge it was hard to diagnose it in the first place. :( I'm gonna miss him so much. Get well soon Cena. P.S: Does it really matter who wins the belt now? I know I know the show must go on. That's what he would want too. I guess if I have to vote for someone then Triple H, would be it.

Yeah, I did a lot of reading after this post and saw all the pictures, and today I saw the video too. I don't know why most guys don't like him. He's a great wrestler, but to tell you the truth, the fans outnumber all those haters anyway. It's sad to see that people would be happy about any wrestlers serious injury. I respect him even more now, that he actually finished the match, as the injury happened right in between the match, and then he took that beating from Randy Orton as well. That's what makes him a true champ. That endurance is what makes him Cena. I guess it's true what you said in your above comments about how guys didn't like HBK either, even though he is one of the best, and no one can deny that. I don't why he got so much crap, and it's the same with John now. Well, I can't wait till he comes back at Wrestlemania and rocks the house. I hope he gets well soon. RAW is nothing without him.

Guys don't like wrestlers that women squeal at (Jeff Hardy had such a hard time with that). I guess the guys go from cheering to jealousy. Also, I think the fact that Cena appeals to kids and has been a face for so long bores some. He's a great heel but WWE wants him to be a face. He could do a great job turning on the fans and riling them up. Maybe when he comes back. I hope so because he is a darn good bad guy. And guys will actually LIKE him then. Weird but true.

It is a real injury. He already had surgery. You can see his surgery pics on WWE.com and I am sure we will see graphic footage of him being operated on on Raw. Ew. Poor John. He tore the muscle with Kennedy and had to suffer through Orton's attack and the table not breaking. He must have been in such pain. But at least the operation is behind him and he has time to heal. I assume Orton will end up with the belt and Triple H will chase it but Kennedy is a dark horse to get it as well.

He got through the surgery and now he has to heal and rehab. This is his first major injury so I suppose that he has been lucky but this does stink for his fans and for WWE in general as far as their long term planning.

I thought that he might have been injured Monday after the match as he done nothing to protect his self from Orton and he was holding his arm. However, I didn't expect a serious injury with surgery. That sucks! I love Cena as champ and the WWE needs a person like him around. I wish Austin or Shawn Michaels would take the title again. I don't like Orton at all and I don't think that he deserves the belt.

I noticed John immediately stopped using that arm in his match with Kennedy and then took everything Orton did. He must have been in terrible pain. Haters can say what they want but I challenge any of them to do what Cena did rather than having the infamous X sign from the refs that means he couldn't go on due to injury. I dob't like Orton and I don't believe he deserves the title considering he was on the list of steroid buyers and was the only one not suspended and now he is rewarded with the belt. Sheesh. Maybe HBK will snag it for a while until it's time for Triple H to get it. But I don't want Triple H to win it from Shawn. I want Orton beaten down by Triple H. lol.

Geez, I wasn't a hater, I just wanted to see a new champ. Cena is alright. 6-8 months, well... Seems like the WWE really is dry in the talent pool. The captain is about ready to signal "Abandon Ship" What!? Too soon!? ;p

I didn't mean you. Wanting a new champ and wanting a wrestler to die are two different things. Yes, people have written to me saying that. And a lot of other things that make me shudder. If HBK and Jericho DO come in, that will help in the talent department but really, WWE needs to build some stars NOW. London, Kendrick, CM Punk, and even Jeff Hardy could have a good little CW division going and there are some guys like Carlito and Shelton Benjamin who have been stagnant who can work a crowd and work a match. When your stars are down, make new ones! They have to get going before the ratings sink lower.

Ooh sorry Patty, the Geez was more my initial reaction to the news, not toward your other statements. Sorry, shoulda used better punctuation. WWE does have its stars and can really make something out some people there. Some stars really should get better shots and others should be built up a bit. Cross promotions would be interesting if done right. Oh Patty, you're gonna hate me for this next one. You did say "sink". =p *Me draws closer to the Abandon Ship horn*

Orton will probably be up against Kennedy because they have been trying to push Kennedy forever but things keep happening to stop it. Now is not the time for Triple H to step in and get the belt. I know he wants to wait until he is more over again and on a bigger PPV. They may have a Royal Rumble or other gimmick match to determine the new champ as well. The roster is so thin though that there are very few people who anyone would expect would get the belt but Orton, Triple H, and Kennedy.

Hi wotfpatty, iam not a big cena fan but then he is a talented wrestler. I have heard that people mostly in US wanted another champion. They must be bored of his antics. he was the raw champion for too long. Actually what people wants is a good fight.. i mean something like cena loses his belt to someone and then he fights hard and get it back. I like the way smack down is going. Khali and batista having a good competetion. Khali is from my country and i wish he gets his title back. Cheers, Tutul

Hi, Yes kahli belongs to a very remote village in India. He and his family members use to cut stones for living and his built is not made of any atrificial stuffs. Later on he started to wrestle and then joined police academy. He was a cop before. Well he speaks in Hindi ( Indian language) yea its difficult to understnad. Even i dont understand some of his words, lol. Smackdown is short of good wrestlers and i dont know y they dont bring new ones there. I remember a wreslter named NAthan Jones joined in there and he was huge. My fav batista is there and i like kahli very much Rey mysterio, mat hardy and the Undertaker are the superstars which i look for. I actually dont watch raw these days but as HHH is back i think it will get interesting. Cheers, Tutul

Did you know Khali once accidentally killed a guy by doing a tombstone powerbomb and dropping him on his head? It was years ago when he was starting out in wrestling. That's gotta haunt a person. People do want a good fight. They like seeing a good guy fight a bad guy and they enjoy the excitement of the nearfalls. It was amazing Monday when Kennedy and Jeff Hardy wrestled. The fans wet out of their minds for some reason. They loved it. I think it was because they straight on wrestled at a fast pace and didn't let up, proving fans like wrestling not soap operas.

Hi! Yes, it really was time for a new champ and there would have been even if Cena wasn't injured. I just wish him well. Is Khali actually saying anything when he talks in that other language? I always wondered if he was or if he was just saying nothing. I haven't been as interested in Smackdown these days but I do watch. It seems they only have a couple of stars on there these days. The roster needs a little shaking up so all the shows have enough stars to make the shows interesting.

I lost step with the WWE for a while. Cena is a face, no doubt about it but he does have the style and personality that is needed to get over with the crowd. It's a shame that people take the whole WWE experience to heart and sit there and wish bad things on people. He's a human first, a wrestler second.

Hey freak! Many people forget wrestlers are people just like they are and they bleed real blood and hurt the same as everyone else. I get pretty angry about that because of the disrespect I see in the business from the indies on up. That is kind of why I enjoy Ring of Honor shows. The fans respect the workers and appreciate what they do in the ring. I would like to see Cena come back and turn heel on the fans. He is a great heel but many forgot about his heel runs. He needs a change from the same persona. But that's in the future. He is out 6-9 months which sucks.

I really want to see a heel Cena as well. he was a GREAT heel before and people really liked how bad he was. I think he really needs to come back and turn on the fans and really lay into them. They would love it. Sometimes the good guy thing gets old. I also would love to see Jericho wherever he may end up. He's a true entertainer and an excellent performer. I just worry about him in WWE because Triple H never liked him and has a grudge against him. Maybe that is done now and Jericho can shine like he should.

I respect your opinion although being happy that any wrestler is seriously injured disturbs me because I have been working in the wrestling business for over 11 years and I don't wish harm on ANYONE. But that's me. Again, I understand you don't like Cena, however, I have seen many come and go, worked with countless wrestlers, and Cena has charisma. You may not like his persona, which by the way he hasn't rapped in ages, but that was Stephanie's idea, not his. These guys take what they are given and do the best they can. Cena indeed has natural charisma, in my personal opinion. I was always a bit confused why guys didn't like him but I kind of get where they are coming from. I saw it for years with Shawn Michaels. He was HATED by men. Now he is liked at last by many men. At any rate, I am glad you are happy. I expected Cena haters to be glad he was going to drop the belt but not to be happy that he was seriously injured. That, to me, is kind of weird to applaud anyone being hurt. But what do I know? I'm just a wrestling writer and fan.:)

It's tough to be a good looking face with a persona that grates on males in wrestling. HBK is one I vividly remember getting so much crap from men while the women and kids went crazy. It took him years to shed the "sexy boy" image. I like Kennedy (Not as much as before he went nuts on TV saying NO ONE takes steroids then was suspended for taking steroids) and I think he has a bright future. Did you see how small he is? 30 days and he's lost a ton of mass. Anyway, I think Cena being away may do him good. The crowd will miss him. I already do. :(

i do agree with you that Cena is needed in the WWE. I wish him the best. Although that he is not my fave wrestler, i do agree that he is one of the best wrestler in the industry. I'm assuming the Orton will be the bet to win the belt and they will be having a new script revolving around him.

Well, you were right. Orton has the belt and we have to endure his bad promos and weird faces until he loses it. Cena isn't really an excellent pure wrestler but he has charisma, size, the look, and he truly cares about the business. No longer is it who the best is, it's who is the most entertaining and I feel Cena is a very good entertainer and can hold his own quite well in the ring as well.

Orton is champion now but I suspect that he will drop the belt and regain it before Triple H gets it. Maybe not. It all depends on whether Orton straightens up and gets his attitude in check. Definitely the plan is for HHH to beat Orton for the belt in the future.

Vince loves Cena and Cena's attitude is one of the best in the business so I do't think there are any hard feelings between WWE and Cena. He had to be stripped. He couldn't hold the title for 6-9 months and be out with an injury. The show has to go on and the title has to be part of it. I also wish him a speedy recovery. He looked great on a Raw not even a week after his surgery and I hope his rehab goes well.
