Is Anyone Having Problems With You Tube?

I like using youtube a lot and have even posted some of their videos on my page and on other profile pages...but for the past two nights, I can access into YouTube but when I click on a video there's no sound, not even on the videos I have from my pages...At first I thought this was the fault of my computer somehow, but nope...I get sound fine and dandy everywhere else all but YouTube..so just wondering..if any of you are having problems

I just went and checked my account at youtube. My sound is fine, and the pages are loading fine .. so I'm not having the problems with it being slow like others here have mentioned.
The video format of files on youtube is different than videos on your desktop. There is really no problem that can originate from Youtube itself to cause you to have no sound. Sound is embedded into the file format itself ... if you can see video, then the audio is there. The problem absolutely has to be on your end.
I would suggest updating your flash ... head to adobe and download and install the newest version. That 'might' solve your problem. If not, ensure you've checked your system for any malware that could be causing a problem, or registry errors. It's amazing the effects one tiny reg error can have on your system.
Also, try viewing the videos with another browser. If you're using IE (and my guess is you are?) then try Firefox or Opera and see if you have the same problem. If you don't, then you can safely assume the problem is a corruption with IE itself, or IE's settings.

I visited YouTube yesterday and last night and it was working fine for me. Everything loaded quickly and the sound was great.
I hope that it straightens out for you soon :)

They have been doing alot of Site Maintenance on and off. They leave little messages on their video pages about that. Sometimes it goes down, sometimes it does not.. Other times on video will work when the next will not, too. - DNatureofDTrain

I have not been on U-tube in a while, but lately I am getting invitations to share videos in my email. I have never received these before this week. I have never posted a video on that site and don't have an account. I only visit once in a while to see the Rolling Stones singing back in 1964...lol.

Sometimes I have the same problem as you do Pye, but I dont have it in the last few days that you are having it. I guess they might have network problems on some days, not sure though
