What's your favorite part of the Thanksgiving day dinner?

My husband cooks the Thanksgiving day meal and he's terrific at it. Everything smells delicious and hubby takes special care to make sure I have plenty of meatless alternatives to enjoy - while everyone else mows down on turkey and stuffing.
My favorite part is the cranberries and of course the dessert. I make a yummy buttercup squash pie for dessert and one for each guest to take home.
I can't wait until Thanksgiving dinner.
So what part of the Thanksgiving day dinner is your favorite?

a man that can cook Thanksgiving Dinner! That is great. At my house we don't do the turkey dinner bit. Most years we order pizza and watch football.It is great. Some times we have a pot roast or roast chicken. my favorite part is dessert. It is an apple pie or apple dumplings.

Sounds like a fun day of enjoying each others company - that's what Thnksgiving is about in the first place, right?

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving dinner is that I don't have to cook it! LOL My mother in law always does the cooking. I gave up a long time ago on asking her if I could do it. It's her thing, and she won't give it up to anyone. She'll let me fix the yams with the marshmallows, but that's about it. Food wise, I think my favorite is her honey baked ham with pineapple slices on top. It's absolutely heavenly!

I don't remember ever making the thanksgiving day meal. Hubby took it on and I let him keep on doing it.

My hubby cooks too,lol. We are so lucky huh. He makes an awesome cornbread stuffing and he also makes me a pumpkin pie thats made with bisquick.It makes its own crust and I loveeeee it. I have to have my whipped cream of course. I also make this mandarian orange salad that I grew up on with my moms side. The only thing I dont like is it will be the 2nds Thanksgiving without his mom.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom.
I love cornmeal stuffing too. Only had it once and oh my gosh, that's all I wanted to eat so I had one large plate full. Mmmmmm! Yummy!
