mini dress + flat sandals = is that okay?

mini dresses is very IN today. being a fashion conscious girl, i cant help but go through the trend as well. however, i havent worn a dress, since nineteen forgotten. perhaps the last time i wore one is during my graduation. and if i wore a dress, it is something that is too long that goes down to my toes. so im new on wearing minis. i own one and i havent the faintest idea as to whether it is okay to wear and pair it with flat sandals for a casual look. ive browsed through google pictures and some fashion sites, there are many models wearing minidresses, but majority of them pair it with high heels though. im not against high heels but isnt it a bit formal for just a casual day? i havent seen models wearing minis and flat sandals maybe they pair it with ballerina flats...but not sandals...
help me with my fashion dilemna

its okay to wear a mini dress and flats it looks cute and preppy. Also flats are very comfortable....high heels are a little kinda formal for me. Wear what you think looks nice on you.

i have to agree with u as well. ive been wearing minis with flip-flops lately ehehe
i havent tried wearing them with heels though coz it depends on the occasion so as per the rest of the comments states here, for casual look, its practical to wear flats, its easier to walk too *_*

Most of the times, I wear my minidress with flat sandals. Hubby loves it so much. I also wear my mini dress with a ballerina shoes or just a usual flat shoes. I saw models on tv and in magazines/brochures wearing mini dress and flat sandals and it looks good. So go for it girl. I myself is not used to wearing minis but my hubby encourages me to just try the minis he bought for me and from that time onwards, I find it comfortable already and I eventually love it. I am sure you will love it too.

yeah minis are soooo sexy =) however since im not a dressy girl i find it weird to wear sandals so i made it sure by asking advice hehehehe and thanks to the replies here, my minidresses staple has since improved lol =)) my bf loved it too, its a daring move for me and a big change from my old skinny jeans or couture shorts hehehehe =)

i think it's ok :) ..since you're saying that you want a casual look, i think it's fine. unless if you want to look stylish or something then you can pair it with high heels. anyways, i think you can wear any kind of shoes, as long as the colour doesn't clash with your dress. i'm sure you'll look very awesome in that mini dress! :D

Yes I Love to see a nice pair of legs in a mini! Its the ultimate in sexuality as far as I'm concerned. The flat sandals are ok too as long as they fasten and are not held on by the toes. This can cause hammer toes. My Mom taught school in High Heels and suffered for the rest of her life. Her arches were deformed. I think healthy feet should come ahead of Fashion!

high heels might make us look sexy but it is also hurting our feet..SO TRUE..hehe i really do agree with u. i used to wear heels before and high wedges...its straining my feet. in order to rest my feet from those inches, i sought wearing flats which i have been wearing for 1 year already.lol =)) and i havent worn any high heels ever since except on special occasions or when the need calls for it =)

I follow fashion closely and it is perfectly fine to wear flats and minis. Sometimes wearing high heels and minis is actually a little too much for a casual day.
You can wear any flat shoes including sandals although I have noted that now that fall is here at least in the US, sandals aren't being worn and either ballerina flats or flat boots are the choices more often worn.
But, whatever looks good on you and you feel good in works!

i follow fashion too at least i know what looks and what doesnt looks good in me. and even if that trend is kinda in these days, we also have to make sure that we are comfortable wearing it =) and ur right! i apply that to myself as well ^_^

i love wearing mini, and i wear it with falt sandals, or with rubber shoes, or with sneakers or sometimes with boots. as long as i feel comfortable then ill go for it. try it first and if you feel comfortable on wearing mini and flat sandals then i think it is okay. most model really wear high heeled foot wear.

i was really having second thoughts i dont like to end up looking like a fashion disaster LOL =) juz wanted to make sure that i look good and had it paired with the correct sandals =)
this is helpful. at least i know that u wear it with anything as long as u feel comfortable. =)
