Get that feeling that you can never find a rare item unless you're not looking?

I've played some video games and I dont know if it's coincidence or what but I always seem to only find the rare items when i'm not looking in a game! Like. lets say you're playing for an hour or two and then when you're getting bored you check a few random places without thinking and bam! there it is. Anyone else have this feeling? Orrr. Am I alone on this? aha.

Right I agree! I think it apply to life and video game experiences. I was playing one video game and it was dragging me because I had to find something. I tried for days without finding it and one day I was like, "what the heck!", I started walking everywhere and I found that one item! It was truly amazing!

i don't really care about rare items if it is possible to end the game without ever needing them (and this is the case in almost all of the games).
and rare items are supposed to difficult to find, you find them where you don't expect them to be. that's what make them 'rare' :P
