I respect your opinion, but you don't have to tell others on what they should about the issue. I am not that greedy, my symphaty mostly goes to those who are in need. Besides, I would not deny HELP to those who needs it. Also, it's not the money that important but the extra effort you do to somehow relieve them from where they are into. I mostly give alms to beggars or those needy, not money but foods and clothings that I know will support them in a very long way.

Hello Langara, In my points of view, i think it will be a case to case basis. Most of the times I give alms to beggars when I can see that they really are physically incapacitated. Though sometimes I have also a litte apprehension in giving them because in my mind im thinking that they will not use the money wisely but in someways I did not think about it anymore. The only thing I put into my mind is that at least I have help them in my own little way and he will not use it wisely then it's their responsibility.

and why not? do you have any reason not to help unfortunate people? At least choose which you would give alms to. There are those who work for alms you know, i only give to those people who are "kind of working", like the blind people who sing and play the guitar at sidewalks, at least they are doing something to credit giving them money. I hate seeing kids asking for money when they should be finding some way of helping their parents find a job, heck they shouldn't even be doing that! argh. anyway, that's all i can say, only give to those who are "working" for their alms, (unless you feel the need to share your blessings with those who really can't "work" for alms or something like that)...
