My health insurance coverage for chiropractic has reached the maximum for the year, but I still have problems with numbness and balance due to the stroke I had in 2006. On top of that, I also fell down the stairs about a month ago. I am still in a lot of pain, so I called the health insurance provider and they will pay for a registered massage therapist provided I have a doctor's referral. A treatment is quite pricey (60-70 dollars for an hour) than chiropractic. Have you any advice/feedback for me about massage therapy? Have you undergone this type of treatment? Did you experience pain relief? How many treatments before you experienced significant improvement?

Thanks for letting me know about your friend having benefited from the therapist. A few of my friends told me that they actually prefer the massage therapist to a chiropractor, because they experienced more relief. Price is double that for a chiropractor, though...
