Do all you mylotters rate positive all the disscusions that you respond to? I do. I think that if you are going to respond to a disscussion then it should be rated positive. What do you think??

i do that too. I rate all of them positive even in response to my discussions. If their opinions differ I still give positive because we will not always see eye to eye and as long as no one is made to fel uncomfortable - given them the positive ratings.

So true and I would not feel happy to know that everythign I wrote or said or did everyone agreed. I would feel like someone is just telling me what I wish to hear and not what they want to say. It does make a big difference and the good thing is that from all these responses we can make a very good decision. I got a lot of help from my discussion "He thinks I am sexy! Gorgeous!" and beleive me all of them I have listened to and adhered to taking bits from each so that I can be well guarded. Thank you very much mylotters for having my back I do appreciate this so much.

Exactly. People start discussions to get other peoples opinions about things. Not everybody will agree on the same thing. It wouldnt be fun if we did. :-)

Yes if I didn't like the discussion I would pass it by. so I rate it positive and respond to it. I don't respond just for the points. I enjoy the discussions and usually I try to take a different approach. Some times I'll say, "Yeah I agree with you." But I get a bigger kick out of taking a different stance. This discussion is different in that its hard to find a differing response. I thought of answering with a No, but this would have been untruthful. Sometimes I'll go for a humorus response, and in this case I seldom tell the truth.

Yes I think that might have made you a bit unpopular if you had said no hehehehe. I must think of a really good discussion that will get you to respond and see what the outcome is hehehehe!! :-)

Of course, I've been a member here for a very long time now and that I did this since this feature was first introduced to us. I do rate them all (positively), for me to avoid double posting on that particular discussion. It helps both of us (me and the threadhost), me for my activity here and them for their ratings to get higher. It's just another way of saying simple "thanks" to them, for starting a post that caught my interest and convinced me to post into it..

I usually rate everyone positive. I had one exception someone who kept insulting me and being very nasty. This person I gave a negative. I always rate a discussion on its value not if they agree or not. We are all here for the same reasons and I enjoy making new friends!

That wasnt very nice of them. I hope it wasnt one of your friends. I think not all people are going to agree and I also think thats what mylot is all about. Sharing opinions and views. Have a great day!!! :-)

I agree with you elemmental69. I have only rated someone negative once. If their comments are anything but negative I will give them a positive rating.

Well I havent rated anyone negatively as of yet. I havent come across a discussion that I dont agree with or one that gets me annoyed enough to leave someone a negative.

Yes, elemental69, this is what I do as well. If I am going to respond to a discussion, then I feel that I should rate it positively. I certainly wouldn't rate it negatively. If it was abusive, I would report it to myLot, but I still wouldn't rate it negatively.

I give a positive rating to all the discussions I answer too for 2 reasons. First ... because like that I know witch topic I already answer and also because I think that if I like enough the topic to answer in it, I like it enough to give a positive rating :)

I agree. If you feel like you can respond to a discussion, then it deserves a positive rating.

well, i mostly rate the discussions on the subject they are about, like when they are about something important, i rate them positive. but i agree that if you respond, you should at least no9t rate it negative.

Yes I think so too. I try to read and respond to as many as I can, but sometimes I wouldnt know what to say in response? But I would still rate it positive.
