I mised Raw this past week but on wwe.com they announced that cena had to have surgery from a ton pec. there fore he could be out up to 8 months and the title is vacant. i loved him as champ. im tryin to look on the bright side like one of the hardyz could win. but then you think what are the chances of that? think bout it, the biggest and baddest guys, most people dont like. who do yalls think will win the championship at no mercy?

I see this as kayfabe (meaning faked to allow for wacation, storyline, etc.). Cena hasn't had a vactation, to my knowledge, in well over a year and I know that everyone deserves a break from their job no matter how much they enjoy it.
After a while wrestlers can become burnt out if they spend too much time without a good break.
I find this as John's break from the business for a little while.

No he had to have surgery that is putting him out for 6-8 months. Go to WWE.com they have the pics from his surgery!

Actually as much as I would like it to have been kayfabe, it's not. It's the real deal. If it was kayfabe, a glorious storyline would have led to it, but unfortunately it was just the result of a move gone wrong, you can see exactly where it happened, in Cena's match against Kennedy. And it was definitely not planned in any way.
He did need a break, but right now, he was on such a good run. Well, at least he is still champ, even though he has to give up the title, he still didn't "lose" it.
Plus, WWE, especially RAW is running low on good wrestlers right now, this is the last thing they need, cena was the one carrying raw and the main events on Pay Per Views, and with so many superstars out of action, it could hardly be kayfabe. And yes, there are pictures and videos on WWE.com to prove it.

I, for one, am very sad that this had to happen, and the timing couldn't be worse. He had a great title run and is no. 6 on the amount of time anyone has held a membership. I'm a huge Cena fan, and can't imagine, not being able to see him in action for 6 to 8 months. But I'm anticipating a helluva comeback at wrestlemania next year. I hope he gets better soon. He's the best champ and right now, WWE really needs a champ like him.
