Do You Remember Your First Teddy Bear? Still Have That with You?

I still sleep with the teddy bear I got when I was 6! It wasn't my first one but it's the one I've had the longest (20 years of sleeping with it!). I kept my 1st teddy bear until the last move a few months ago, it was huge. I had a ton of them, I was the smallest one in the family for a long time so I got spoiled and at one point had over 300! My room was so full of them and I could barely fit in my bed, lol. I've kept maybe 10 now and they're put away.

In Slovakia in that time stuffed toys weren't so popular, but I had one.My mum bring it to me from one city where she was with work.She was gone for three days or so and I missed her.So we went with my dad and my brother wait for her to the bus station and she got this big teddy bear under her arms.I was so happy.It had bib black eyes, red tongue and was so cute and my first one.I still have it in my parents house in my room.I am sure I would never forget about my first teddy bear and hope maybe my kids will like it one day.

Actually my first teddy bear was when I received it from my boyfriend. I was around 20 + at that time, a big girl already for sure. :) When I was small, my mother bought me baby dolls instead of teddy bears, I don't know why she didn't buy me teddy bears. Until now I still have the teddy bear put on my bed for decoration. Lol.

My first Teddy Bear was bigger than me! I dragged him by his ear from place to place. I had to have help putting him in a chair. I think I was some age less than five. I think I was 2 feet tall and he was 2 1/2 or 3 feet. Mom sat him in a chair and I sat in his lap. He was brown and furry. He felt very good. He got pretty "beaten up". But he was a great friend. i got my first teddy bear when i was around 3. it was from my aunt. i actually remember her walking in the door and showing him to me. I used to always sleep with him in my arms. now one of his arms is lose from me sleeping with him. i need to fix it.

I barely remember my teddy bear. What I do remember most is that I lost it when I was about 5, and I found it after a rainstorm in the woods. I had to throw it out. My boys have had "Teds" since they were very young. My oldest got his on his first Christmas (he was 3 months old) from my sister. He still sleeps with it - he's 23 years old. My youngest got his the day he was born by his great-grandparents. He slept with his until he went into the Navy 3 years ago - we still have it. When their father's 2nd wife had their sister, we bought her her first "Ted" too. She's probably about 11 now and I don't know if she still has it.

I can't say that I remember my first teddy bear, but I do remember one of my first baby dolls. :) I still have it in my room!

I am too like you as i was not playing with teddy's when i was a kid..I was gifted a teddy bear by my cousin who lives in another country...when i was 20 years old.still iam keeping it safe..i can even make teddy bear of hand made one..i have ecen named it as "Bunty" and stiched this name in black thread..in the centre part of my teddy..

I remember my first teddy bear. I played with it until it started to rip. It got repaired. I lost it 12 years ago which was a shame. I couldn't find another one like it.
