How many of you think that "The Simpsons" is losing it's touch?

I mean, it's a really great show.. but they just dont stop making seasons.. and I dont know about you, but it really seems to me like they went off the deep end. I loveee the old episodes to death.. but some of the new ones lately i'm starting to despise! What're your opinions on this?

I do. The last 3 episodes of this season were no good. I mean like... they can do better. Im not trying to put it down or anything, but Groening can do better +(

I think the simpsons have gotten better over the past couple of years then it has been for a long time. There were a lot of episodes I liked last year and the ones I saw this year I liked. So to me the simpsons have gotten better and have not lost there touch. But I still think they should go back to the old simpsons when it was at its best. Also tone down homers stupidity it seems hes getting stupider each and every year.

I think that the simpsons have been funnier than ever! I like the newer ones better, plus Homer doesnt have his weird voice like he did in the 80s.

I haven't even watch a new episode in quite awhile. I agree, its kind of not as good as it used to be. I think part of it might be because they don't age. I love the old episodes too. We still watch the reruns at 6pm at our house.

I think the Simpsons is not losing it's touch, it's just that most people are just outgrowing them and moving on to other adult cartoons.

I agree with you, the movie wasn't that simpsons quality standard. I think simpsons will eventually lose their touch and produce stupid episodes about flanders lol

Agreed, the latest ones seem to be losing their touch. But hey, they have been going for what? 20 years? They've covered every joke and storyline that they could possibly have with their set of characters and setting. Oh well, i still watch the new ones when i can.

i have not seen many of the old ones so its hard to compare. i luv the show! i went to see the movie when it first came out and i cant get spiderpig song out of my head. you have to admit that is hilarious
