Why are people so mean? Listen to this one!

The baby I didn't get! - Kitty the yorkie

And people wonder why I find it so hard to trust. I've had more people let me down in my life than I can count on all my fingers and toes. These people promised me that I could have this little yorkie because I sounded like I would give her the best home. I had to get a special request from my Rep. Payee (I'm on social security and someone else pays my bills with my check)....I've been emailing the owners for a week asking when they would be bringing her to me and I never got a reply. I've even bought a few things for her. I was so planning on getting that little pup! This is something I don't need happening to me right now so I started looking again for a small dog and I may have found one but this time I'm not going to get excited about it until she is IN MY ARMS and mine. I just wrote them a last email telling them that I'm going to look for another dog. I didn't say everything I wanted to because I'm too much of a lady for that. Why do people do things like this to other people? They knew how much I wanted her. They even sent me pictures of her. What could they be thinking? Do you think they are just naturally mean people?

This actually reminds me of the adoption scams that have been going on recently. One lady was so bad she did it to several ladies and was on the Dr. Phil show. She kept promising a baby and accepted money from them but never produced a baby. It's so horrible that people do these things, they need to get help, it's not funny hurting people.

I am really sorry , what happen to you and can magien how you feel.It happen to me also many times.I would always get excited and than just some broke the word and I would be so hurt.I am trying to avoid that next time, but I cannot. All the time when I want something I am like little kid and start to think more and more about thing I am waiting on. I am not sure, why somebody would do something like this and specialy not even write you back or call to explain.I think they just don't care about other people feelings and want just make a business.I hope you will get another one puppy soon.

I reached the conclusion long ago, ctry, that most people are selfish and inconsiderate of other's feelings. It's a sad statement on our society, but if you deal with people enough you will begin to see a pattern emerging. They would rather allow something to go to waste rather than give it to someone who really needs it. I'm not saying that all people are this way, but a great many are. I'm sorry you were disappointed in your hopes for the new puppy, but hopefully you will get your heart's desire soon.

This is the reason I stay in my apartment and don't care to be associated with our society. As you say....most people are selfish and inconsiderate and I don't have to deal with it if I stay home. Only now their getting me on the internet too! Very sad state of affairs.

That's horrible ctrymuziklvr...I really don't understand why people do this kind of thing, especially get ones hopes up and promising the puppy to you and then back out, and worse of all not responidng t your emails to them--I'm just wondering if they had a better offer for the dog and gave him to them instead while you were getting things settled with your Rep. Payee . And to then send pictures..OUCH...that really hurts

What gets me is they said if I wanted her sooner to let them know and I did but they never replied. They wanted me to take her when I only had half the money but I don't like to owe people so I opted to wait. I should have taken her then and I wouldn't be going through this...unless they are really deceitful and wouldn't have brought her to me even then.

Oh boy he sure is a cutey. That is so mean! It is like getting a baby and then denied. The least they could have done is reply back saying something. Letting you know what was going on. I know why there are mean people, makes me so thankful for the people that are nice! But maybe it wasn't meant to be and your new little member of your family is waiting for you to find him. Good Luck you will find a pup would is right for you! :)

I think it's just rudeness that has kept them from replying to my emails. At one point that's all I asked of them was for an email saying they weren't going to let me have her. I don't think that's asking much.

Hi, am sorry to hear that you have been a victim of yet another scam... I think this world will never rid of mean people. My advise to you is let go of what happened. Those mean people will get what they deserve sooner or later. You on the other hand will get the best companion ever...

ya know....there are scams and there is just being mean. At least I can usually tell a scam when I see it. I put my trust in these people and look what happened. I know I will get a great little companion soon.

I am sorry you are going through a tough time. However there may be a reason why they have not contacted you...I understand your frustration...we also tried and tried to get a dog..without much luck. Now we finally have one. I think you did the right thing...but I would ask them why they have not contacted you...if they seemed to go to all that trouble...anyway...maybe it's not meant to be...and I hope you find another dog...good luck.

I have asked them more than once why they have not answered my emails and they don't even answered those. My mistake was in not getting their phone number.

I don't think they are mean ,they just don't think. And they don't know how to make definite appointments with people.People are more selfish, and they don't think how their actions will effect other people. And to top it off, many people have bad memories so they say all these stupid things and they don't remember it.That's what makes me livid. All you can do is go on.I hope you get the dog you want.

I am definitely going on and in the process of getting another dog. We have already set up an appointment for tomorrow and I'm trying not to get so enthusiastic about this one because I couldn't take it again.

I'm so sorry they got your hopes up and let you think you were getting the dog. Some people just don't care about what others feel or how it affects them. Did you ever get a response from them? Is it possible that for whatever reason they just did not get your messages? I hate to think someone would deliberately do this to you. I hope you find you a dog soon, they are wonderful and pets give us so much love. I lost my Missy over a year ago and haven't replaced her, b/c simply she cannot be replaced in my heart. But I think one day soon I will be ready to find me another pet to love. Best of luck my friend :)

Not one reply yet and yesterday was the day I was supposed to get her. I don't know why they wouldn't receive my emails none of them ever came back to me. Their a couple and I would think one of them would have read at least one of the at least 10 I sent them in a weeks time. I hate to think this but I think this was deliberate because they knew how almost desperate I am for a canine companion....

I don't understand why ppl would do that either. If they changed their minds at least they could have sent you an email letting you know. I hope you find another puppy to live with you. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I'm in the process of getting another dog but I'm going to be much more cautious this time and less trusting. I'm going to be sure to have that dog in my posession before I start being happy about it.
